Hows about my plane v's your car ?
Did I mention that it fires rockets from the wings ? there are two cool vid clips on the internet, see:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dan.the.man/Rockets1.mpg
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dan.the.man/Rockets2.mpg
I also have a HPI super nitro and its ace, still find the extra dimension with the planes is cool.

I to used to fly radio control plane, but not a trainer like the one feature in the clip above. I had a Spitfire look alike with a O/S 45 engine, and it was very rapid!!! Only ever had one small crash in 3 years.

Cheers Phill C

PS After hearing the engine on the clip, I think I'll go and get from the loft and charge it up

the firing mechanism is the beauty of it, there are electrical ignitors up the **** of the rockets, and these are fired up by the servo that clicks one way to fire 1 wing, then the other way to fire the other wing. There are a load of 9v batteries onboard for the trigger current pure genius

Dan,

I was having a laugh, I know how much would be involved with fitting rockets. At least it doesn't have a trainer V wing

A mate of mine had them on his Helicopter a few years ago, but took them off as he couldn't fly it and thought it a little dangerous!!

If your following this here she is, 95% finished, need to tidy up the tubing etc and go over everything with locktite. Full speed time trials begin at the reebok this sunday .

just had it running with both engines and I can say it is absolutely feckin RAPID to the point of being dangerous

Its a bit of a bugger to start - you need to have the first engine at 1/4 throttle with the wheels off the ground before you can fire the other, because as the second engine spins up and the clutch engages, No 1 engine's bogs down if the revs aren't high enough.Keeping the revs high on No1 means No2's clucth bell is already spinning it's nuts off so this helps No2 start. Once both engines are running you can then back the throttle off and it runs as per normal - but with ballistic tendancies

will get some vids sorted - soonish

OK, I'll admit it, I'm a nitro addict. I run Thunder Tigers - an SSB 1/10 (0.15) and an EK4 1/8 monster truck. Single 0.70 heli engine gets it to about 40mph

(pics below courtesy mj)

MJ - twin 0.21s - nice.
Guinness, youre not sad, youre mad :-)

Cheers,

Scott.
