Ello Mikey mate Blimey this thread has kicked off
Adroy - These are the babies that create the electric pulse to make the spark plugs spark. Earlier cars had these in the form of coilpacks that actually sit in the engine (two on either side). The later cars had them mounted on the top of the engine with HT leads going to the plugs.
Christian - These are aimed mainly at those people who have earlier cars where the coilpacks are breaking down. Hence i've got rid of mine & got HT leads now. I don't know whether there will be any improvement on the later cars but I guess that someone could test it & see? I wouldn't know where to start? Maybe the spark will be stronger which I guess is a good thing? Get one of those nutters in the "project" forum to do it as their cars are always in bits
BTW I saw the article in the mag. Can't remember if it was JP or Banzai. Very meaty engine you,ve got in there!! Very nice car
