And remember it should be based on the value of the property in 1991, not current value

Just spoke to a friend about this who lives in east grinstead (across the m23 from crawley - bout a 10 min drive) and his rise is the same as mine, he's also paying 40% to the police yet his station in town only opens 3 days a week 10-3 lol, rest of the time they come from crawley......

£1064 for a band C house! which is an increase of 12.9%?

Though my Police only want a 19.7% increase! Be nice to know where their money goes.

And Mr Lewis, because you live in a Band H house you can get well and truly shagged senseless!!!!!

Then I hear that the councilors have all voted themselves a 20% hike in their allowances!!!

Still, if you have money you SHOULD share it out to the immigrants I suppose!! Its only fair isn't it??

Angry

if we'd stayed in our flat, the increase was 17%
having moved to a house, the difference between the 2 is slight.

9.3% increase here in Northampton, 23.6% increase going to the police. Must be so they can fund more speed cameras

This takes the total to £845 for band B, but we are moving next week and I guess it will be a higher band

MY GOD!!! You lot live in big expensive houses don't you?!

I'm currently in a 2 bed rented semi - band A - I was outraged that the tax had gone up to £857, over £100 from last year.

Moving in a couple of weeks to another band A property in a different area so will have to see what they are charging!

Wealden in East Sussex. Up 20%.

Sorry I have to say this, but I hope all of you in the North make good use of it! This thread backs up what has been reported in our local rag, that funding changes by the government have pushed more money to the North of the country.
