There is no collective noun - Nerds are solitary creatures with no social skills - if there was more than one they wouldn't be nerds!

Consider also that one might have a logical collection of nerds that may not be a physical collection in one place. Such a Distributed Nerd Structure (DNS) is essential to the Internet.
