No offence steven, but..

IMHO..

Revs would have been better at 5500 however due to the std clutch I dont really think this would have worked well...

SO..

I think steven has done extremely well to get the 1/4time that he did.. with a shagged clutch

And

Lets fit the new clutch and move on to killing the gearbox... whens the next day..

David

No offence taken David.

I was trying to increment at 500 rpms a launch to see where is best. However, when one is watching the lights, can virtually hear naff all due to the helmet, i think i am at 4500 rpm but in fact i am at 6500, then cant help but knack it.

Does not help when your stood there wave your hands in a kind of "give it some welly" type motion.

New clutch, asap, and ready for next day. If i kill the gearbox, then it will be off the road for a while, due to funds.

Cool

Hi all,

Nice to meet everyone, Ninny, Mark, Jonny Gav, David, Steven and Harvey et al. Perhaps I should have run the Westie, although a 0-60 time would have been much better for it!!! (Not good at high speeds!)

What amazed me were the bikes - total nutters! 1340cc extended swing arm barstewrads with progressive nitrous and a couple running TURBOS as well!!! WHOA!!! They were NOISY!!!! One in the picture was even running an anti wheelie arm!!! (You should have seen one of the mechanics - a cross between Gimli from LOTR and Hagrid from HP!!!!).

Great day and a top blast back in the Westie (had a little play with a Maserati 4 door on the way home - looked superb).

Cheers
Mossman

PS Many thanks to Harvey for taking the time to explain what gauge did what on his lovely car, very much appreciated
