Harvey, just re reading, i dont think Christian is saying his is the fastest, he is just saying yours is not. Assuming we are talking 1/4mile times, then when you look at Marks time last year at TOTB, i think it was 13.4ish for 0 to 500m and 126mph ish at that point. 1/4 mile being 402 metres.
Please dont take that the wrong way, as i am just trying to possibly clear things up, before another war of words starts.
regards
Steven

Harvey, people have different ways of judging what car is quicker/faster etc. Some people judge it on bhp, others 0-60 times. I cannot judge for everyone.. however, I feel the only feasible solution is to have Scoobynet Trumps.
I didn't have all your latest information, so I used the information from the tynes website.

Those top trumps are ace(if we're reverting to the school playground then "ace" could also be replaced with "mint" or "'kin smart").
Mad4it-my gearset leaves Australia on friday(full bore launches for me) so I should be at the pod in May-look forward to racing you.

Skiddus Markus - I wish you all the best. It would be nice to see a Scooby in the UK run a 11 second quarter mile.
I would say that with the right driver and 400bhp + in good conditions, a 11 second pass is acheiveable.
My wife's Scooby will be ready very soon, and may race that this year, but not sure yet.

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
Trust me you will see a scoob run the 1/4 mile in 11...
Im aiming for 10.. Apparently no one has gone under 10 with a manual scoob though...
The 9.x sec was with an autobox.

s600hby, you are wrong..
I've seen (held) the printout for christians..
Something tells me theres more to come from harveys as iirc its running slightly rich due to the improved breathing.. once harvey does a couple of mods we discussed breifly on sunday it should be even quicker

I will answer some of the questions raised when I have more time, like at the weekend.
Andy Forrest did 11.9s last year I believe and he has done further work on his car since then.
Bob Rawle got 465bhp at Power Engineering six weeks ago.
I have no idea what power my car is making because it is not possible to compare one rolling road with another and indeed it would be preferable to compare a group of cars on the same rollers on the same day. Hence rolling road days.
I am quite happy to post my G Force figures but they will only stand comparison with other cars there on the same day.
So Christian, tell us who you think is the major contender for the fastest/most powerful Scooby?

Harvey you will have to bring it along to santa pod in April for the Central RS owners club meet.
A large number of Scooby owners are going to be there including myself.
My good friend Dunc will be taking his 400bhp escort cosworth up the strip it would be good to see them side by side.
Engine recently developed by Harvey Gibbs SCS.
It would be a great contest for the RS and Scooby boys.
Sounds like a great car who did the conversion?

greg.g,
Can't speak for Harvey etc, but some insurance companies are more 'mod friendly' than others. I even delayed putting a SS box on my old 98 for 8 months just to avoid the £80pa they wanted. Changed companies and it was free.
Check out the insurance forum.

1/4 mile My old 95 RA ran 11.7 at 118 mph early last year. That was with 60 bhp less than I have currently (and yes I have the official time slips, unlike some power claims)
As you do not appear to require any form of verification these days my car now has 864bhp

Andy, thats using the standard RA gearing though, yes?
Would you like a Trumps card knocking up
Based on your RA BHP then, and your, IIRC, experience of these kind of events, then in comparison, are my times reasonable? or just plain pants

Steven,
When my STI was standard bar exhaust and filter it did a 12.9 @ 106mph. Think it had 280hp
I think Andys time was running similar power to me when mine was similar to his - if that makes sense lol. So about 360hp. RA gearing is cheating of course

It would be harder to do a quicker time in a Type RA, as the gearing is shorter, and a gearchange into 5th gear would probably be needed for anything quick, and they say each gearchange is worth about half a second.
