Most boring sporting event? hmm, so many to choose from

Cricket, athletics, rowing, F1 (well it is these days!), snooker, darts.

But the worst has to be Football, and I'm talking soccer and not American Football.

Sorry but I cannot see the interest in watching footy at all. People call me sad because I go to scooby meets and stuff like that, well, footy seems like the same to me.

IT'S ONLY A GAME!

How about any televised marathon. Watching stick men & women running for 2+ hours and trying to catch water or sponges. The charity ones are good though wondering what geezer in a costume is going to get heatstroke first

Formula One, over paid remonte control car drivers and wingers should be good for Richard Burns then!

Football, Over paid actors and poofs that think the are better than god

Cricket, We nearly allways loose

Golf, not very fast moving.

Tennis only good when the girlies are playing

Rugby odd shaped ***** then

Its nice to know that us football haters aren't alone.

I've never understood why the last 10 pages of the papers is all football when its such boring crap.

MotoGP hardly gets a mention

Although football (soccer to our US friends) itself is less boring than some sports the way it is treated in UK society is ridiculous.

Every game is analysed before and after for about 2 hours on the TV and then talked about by nearly every bloke in every pub/cafe/restaurant for the next two days until they are distracted by the next match.

Normal conversation between people in the UK goes like this:-

Bloke 1: Hi my names Gary.
Bloke 2: Hi my names Wayne.
Bloke 1: Who do you support?
Bloke 2: United, you?
Bloke 1: The Gunners?
Bloke 2: Did you see Henri's goal on Saturday - he's class!
Bloke 1: Yeah and wat about Beckham's curler on Sunday - awesome!
.......

That happens everywhere including business meetings which pi55es me off - there has to be more than life than that!!

Then there's the sports news. They should just call it football news as that is what it is. Last year when Michael Schumacher won the F1 championship (the supposed pinnacle of world motorsport, but that's another debate) the BBC sports news mentioned it after they had finished discussing soccer transfers to Darlington - it's pathetic.

The best way I've found to deal with it goes like this:-

Bloke 1: Hi, who do you follow?
Me: Ferrari - why?
Bloke 1: No I mean which football team (with a huge sigh as if I'm stupid)
Me: I don't follow football - as far as I am concerned people that do are all bores who could really do with getting a life outside of their one solitary sport and the associated hobbies of lager drinking and pack based violence. Can we get on with the meeting now please?
Bloke 1: Err.... yeah .... OK!

Works every time!!!

Regards,

tiggers.

I think we can now cross F1 off the boring list after the scenes from Brazil!!

Fishichella thought he'd won and parked his car in the winners spot and it burst into flames.

Alonso's car was missing from Parc Ferme as it was in a million pieces and he was missing from the podium as he was in hospital.

Hope the guy is OK but it looked like he may have sustained some injury.

Even Schumacher lost it and hit the wall just missing the crane parked in the run off area.

Not boring!

I agree totally about F1 now, the changes are working well.

I felt sorry for Jordan and Fisichella at the final result though.

Fitba' Sorry, but it's total tosh IMO

Snooker is quite addictive after a few frames, it's the first few that you watch that are boring, until you start to understand it more

Cricket, rugby, rowing, athletics, cycling, swimming is also boring.
