Regular Glasgow Meet
#31
I take your point JasonO. The biggest problem we are gonna have is to find a venue and date to suit everyone. I don't think that'll ever happen and has probably been one of the reasons behind these meets being hampered.
At an earlier point in this topic I suggested rotating the dates in order to try and accommodate most people so that everyone gets a chance to attend from different parts in the area.
I was going to try and finalise a plan for Tuesday the 15 th April at the Showcase in Coatbridge (as there was a good turn out last time).
Then as requested, try and arrange a Sunday run on May 11th somewhere. Either out to where Dougster suggested or even meeting at the Phoenix and heading out for a drive round the coast towards Greenock and down towards Largs etc.
This should cater for the folk to the west of the City and beyond.
How does that idea sound troops???

Evenings are out for me at the mo, went onto nightshift a few weeks ago and will probably be on it for a while. Sat afternoon could be an idea now and again especially if we could get some decent weather.
I realise it's all about trying to cater for the majority so if evenings suit mostly everyone then that's fair enough. I reckon a weekend day makes it easier for people travelling further though, since many peeps can't leave the house until 7:00pm or later by the time they get home from work etc.

There is a Kames meet at the end of the month.
Get yourself along to that. Bit of a treck for most but good fun once you get there.
Word of warning, take extra clothes, blankets, duvets and suncream!!! The weather out there is as funny as KH.

Ye Trance. If that's what it takes to get things going then I'm happy to give it a shot.
Mind you it all depends on the feedback we get on here. As you said yourself, a lot of people view these topics but only a small percentage get involved by adding their thoughts and comments. So come on folks, don't be shy ) Lets get it sorted... Cheers
