A scooby forum is probably not the best place to come on and ask for opinions on a P1 vs a Clio V6, most of us are always going to be biased towards the scoob - Thats why we bought one!

Hi Pele - btw sorry I missed you the other night, I'm going bloody deaf, I got the message and thought 'Kelly...who's Kelly?'
Anyway you lot what about this then? original shape import WRX or Clio Williams? Bearing in mind *****'s are still going for 5 and 6 grand.

Still reckon the P1 will lose less cash in the same period
Also, 1000 P1s made and Joe Bloggs knows it isnt a normal Scooby, just go to a Scooby meet, the bloke on the street is looking at the P1 as they all go past not the fuglies.
Little quote also - Evo 6s are now worth more 2nd hand than the luke warm Evo7, enthusiasts prefer the raw looks of the car. Dealer's say the Subaru P1 is likewise in demand and both look like becoming a classic like the Escort Cosworth

depends if you want to drive quickly
Clio for posing in and rarity value
P1 for actually driving
the P1 would eat a Clio V6 on the straights never mind the non-straights (don't ever want to use the phrase "the twisties" -Doh I just did!)

If you're spending decent money do you really want to have a nice practical four door that's common as a Nova or Saxo?

Nick i think you need a Tamazapan or some sort of supression drug.....chill dude
All i "implied" if you read the post correctly and took into account the amount of "satire" ( look that up in the dictionary ) was that in all honesty is just a Clio...plain and simple, just as a P1 is just a Subaru...same for same...its just been transformed into something new....and if you strip away the all the plastics and the V6 lump all you have is a Clio....and there not a great car to start with, strip away the P1 goodies and your left with a Standard Subaru...which WILL get you more looks and WILL be a better car........so before you start to whine/poke fun at others and bitch like a girl.....take some time to learn and understand the finer points of the Queens english.......
all the best
jay
and more to the point....do P1s have 4 doors..........who's laughing now ignoramus.....LOL

I paid £5 less than £30K for my new P1.
I paid £100 more than £9K for my new 172 Cup.
Is the Cup as good or better than the P1? No.
Is the Cup only 30% as good as the P1. No - by a long, long, long way.
..and they both corner well

Got to say I really don’t like the dimma kits, the standard ***** looks beautiful. That’s only my opinion, what ever floats your boat.
