Wink

Question for you 22B nuts.. (or 3)
Does anyone have a fog actually in the rear bumper, go and have a look lol
And what colour is the mesh around the grille, front bumper (blue or black)
And lastly to put my mind at ease about buying one, does the dash rattle?

Cheers

Lightbulb

My fogs in the rear RH cluster, replaced 1 of the reversing lights.

Mesh is painted blue.

Odd squeak but not really any rattles as such.

Cool

As you can see from Andy's pics there is no fog light in the rear bumper, its in the rear light set, the mesh is blue and the dash doesn't rattle, well no more than any other scoob.
Little Miss I'm fine thanx, trust you are enjoying life down under, will be doing some more track days, but not in the 22b, bought a P1 with a few mods so will be out in that in the near future.

No they don't have ABS.

Little Miss, couldn't find any pics, I know some were put on the BBS at the time. Don't worry the 22b is tucked up nice and warm. The P1 will never live up to the 22b.

I can confirm with adge that none of them had factory fitted ABS....

Adge, I will have to do a search to see if I can find them or try to remember who took the photos. I am not sure if I took a couple, I can't remember having a camera there, but you never know with me.

I've been looking at a 22B.. one problem, the rear fog light has been cut into the bumper (not nice) what is the best way round this problem? Do i need a new rear bumper (how much) or can i remove the fog light and somehow fill the hole and respray the bumper?

Thanks in advance Damian

i went to see the guy at grade A breakers. they had a 22b there and i asked if the wheels would fit a classic and he said no chance, the offset is a lot different.

You can either replace a reversing lamp with a foglight...or swap to a UK cluster...or drill a spot for a new one in OEM cluster..plenty of ways round the foglight issue.

An ORIGINAL rear bumper for a 22B costs something like £2k!!!!!!
I'd hope you'd be able to get it filled..or you could buy my UK 22 car for around £25k Only kidding!

Not going to be cost effective to buy a new bumper!

XRS... just tend to read threads on 22b's!

Ok so i dont want to have to buy a new bumper at 2K, how would i need to go about removing the light from the bumper and what do i use to fill the hole that'll be left behind?

Cheers
