Question

this might sound like a bit of a bodge job! but,

you could fit a piece of plastic sheet to the back of the bumper where the hole is! with glue. this would fill your hole but leave it a bit stepped in and a horrible piece of plastic on view so then smooth this hole out with body filler!!!!

then get it re-sprayed.
hope this helps.

while were on the subject of the rear bumper on the 22B, which i think is still the best looking rear bumper on a scooby!. does anyone please know of someone who makes fibreglass or whatever, 22B style rear bumpers but for the 4 door classic ( my93 ) i really want one but cant find one.!!

while were on the subject of the rear bumper on the 22

Would like to point out, and am not taking the pi55 here that I sat behind cem for two laps. No joke, was so bored that I decided on doing a cool down lap just so that I would get away from hmi and have some fun going a touch quicker, rather than get black flagged for an over taking in a black flag stylee way. Lets face it, Cem was never gonna be slowing down to let me through, imagine what that would do to his infallible ego!

He was slower, but not slow enough to let me through so I took to other measures to enjoy my track time!

ps. O thionk trousers car looks cool. Am a little annoyed to see he has benefited from the mouldings that I supplied before I did!

Trouser I think you should have a fatwa put upon you for degrading the 22B image. Somethings just should not be messed with.

Question

Are those 18" or 19" Super l's? Look like 19's and IMHO they are too big, looks like a cartoon.
I'd love 18" versions of the OEM wheel.

It is a nice car but don't think he'd be too happy about the reg being posted up on here.

Did he tell you the story about the 22B (i.e. his car) that I nearly bought?

A large bundle ! Ive got a P1 at the moment but ive had it 2yrs and the only other car i wanted is 22B. Not 2 sure what the differences are apart from engine size and power distribution and of course the lack of ABS and airbags. Who needs that crap littering up a damn fine car though ? Not me. Is there anything you can advise me on with owning a 22B ?

A lotta torque compared to what you have now! if you can afford it, go for it is my advice. No other car looks like it and you won't pass another one on the road. The most I've seen together was at Japfest and that was 5, previous record was 3 at a Sussex meet.

Buy some big brakes is my 1st bit of advice really, then a noisy exhaust, knock link, airfilter etc etc! brakes is the main biggie from my point of view.

Im hoping to have sorted brakes out. Have been promised a set of Alcon's off an ex WRC car, very little use and with new discs and pads. Fingers crossed. I believe he has a scoobysport backbox, i got a HKS super Dragger on the P1 but im not sure if it would fit. I do like the sound of a nice dump valve but wouldnt know what to go for. I dont want to do silly things to the car, just my own little touches. Dont suppose you know where i can get it de-limited ? and how much ?

Well scooby-si are you going for it at that price..???

If I had the money at hand I would be there like a shot.. I am just a few grands short, providing if an interested party really wanted my car.. but you know, its the same old story, when you want to sell your car, tell me...!!! Anyway, the wife would go mental on me, as I only had my car since December..!! If only she understood, why I love the 22B..!! well that's life..

So waiting to hear..!!!

OJ..

How gutted am i right now ? Richard has pulled out of the deal to sell me his 22B. Turns out my local dealership were a bit naughty and registered my car but sold it to me as first owner. Not only that, Richard managed to find out some news about my wheels. Following this news up i have found out some more and it looks like a nice little court case against the supplier and manufacturer of the Wheels i bought is on the cards, at least thats what trading standards want to do.
So as you can imagine i am gutted not to be driving home tonight in my own 22B..................
