Basal_lobe,

I think you digress from your original postings somewhat.

Are you trying to back out of what you've posted now?

SB,

Thanks for the constructive comments!

I had two alternatives.
1. Spend 10 minutes deleting the worst posts, editing a few others, and making sure post still made sense after others were edited.
2. Delete the whole thread.

If you'd rather we just deleted every thread that went downhill then I suggest you post something in 'Policy'. If not, try being a bit more helpful.

Josh

back out of what, what are you referring to? If you let me know what exactly you mean theres a chance I might be able to answer.

A simple way of expressing what I mean is this

cocky biker with no sense of self preservation meets car. biker bounces off car..car driver gets out of car to help......biker goes to hospital.

Its pretty plain who "wins" that race.

I thought the jist of your original posting was:

Biker filter through traffic
Car owner pissed off with biker
Car owner make suggestive 'move' on biker.
Biker drops his bike rather than be hit by car.

It ain't big, and it ain't clever!

As a biker, i am well aware of the risks/dangers i face when i ride my machine as do all other bikers. We do not go out of our way to endanger other road users as some people seem to think.

Speak to any motorcyclists and they can tell you many stories of *stupid* car drivers, especially the SMIDSY (Sorry Mate I Didn't See You!) type.

I've been knocked off twice, both by stupid car drivers who failed to observe other road users!

Your statements are profound, inaccurate, and down right stupid!

Why would anyone want to risk getting biker blood on their Scoob's paintwork anyway????? Riding is an incredibly difficult thing to do well, and as I'm sure a lot of the bikers on here can vouch for, it's amazing how many car drivers try to close the door on the gap you were going through, quite safely until they decide they don't like someone being able to reach their desination faster than them.

I seem to remember a SCoob beating a bike round a track a year or two ago, but I think it was a wet day... in the dry, it aint even a contest for a 600 sports bike against any Scoob, or mainstream manufactured car.

I've only come off my bike once, and the level of adrenilin I had I could've sprinted faster than my Scoob.. lol... after the adrenilin subsided I ended up in a neck brace though!!!

As for racing people... I got a speeding ticket 3 weeks ago so am driving far slower. Whilst overtaking someone in the outside lane at 85mph, some idiot sat up my a7se, then undertook me and the car in the middle lane, very dangerously through a very small gap. I lost my rag, hit loud pedel and went past him. Unfortunately I did this as there was a police car on the side of the road. I await my court summons now and will have to sell the Scoob

My company car is a golf tdi 130bhp, and they go like shxt off a stick!, apparently there is more torque in one of those than in a standard porsche boxster!!!!

These things do shift!

LOL At any idiot stupid enough to try to have me off on purpose! If I thought someone had done that, ie try to kill me or a least cause me to drop my bike. I can tell you the damage I would do to the car would at least equal that done to the bike.

Basel Brush! Your a ****

If someone tried to take me off I wouldn't do any damage to the car... amoured bike gloves are amazing things really Not that I've ever condone violence.

I think this thread has just about reached a conclusion.

Although it's not quite on topic anymore, I think it's safe to suggest that everyone agrees that a biker would come off worse, and that any driver who deliberately tried to 'tap' a biker should be locked up.

Consequently, I think it's time to lock up the thread.
