Dave, you mentioned your scorpion used to catch - my prodrive exhaust rattles against something, not sure what, need to investigate really, the hangers are not quite right, need bending to level it up.

Where did you cable tie to?

The last two hangers,

Cable ties the outside one to pull the exhaust towards the wheel.

I had my Hiper knocking on my car, turned out to be the big brace bar that goes across under the car just under the rear doors was flexing slightly too much (mounted on rubber bushes)

Don't know what was done to fix the problem as my garage sorted it for me. Might be worthwhile checking that, on mine I could jiggle the exhaust up and down, side to side without it hitting. As soon as I drove the car (worse in reverse) it knocked on this bar.

mine only rattles on start up when its cold.

after a few mins i dont hear it again until i stop and turn the engine off for a while.

When i move the exhaust by hand, it touches something, i`ll mess around with the hangers and see what i can do

Well, fitted mine to my RA last night

No knocking, sound is perfect, not too loud like my Hiper was, just that classic off-beat burble.

I'll try and do some sound clips of it later.

Bloody typical.

Fitting the ninja tonight, and I remove one of the 14mm bolts for the centre section, but the other is stuck fast and is now round.

ANyone got a dremel?

This is bloody typical - i`ll have to save my excitement until the morning now

A decat centre such as the Afterburner one should do you m8

Has anyone fitted one of these to an STi5 RA yet

I want one of these babies on mine but have heard it may hit the bigger rear diff on my car, go well with the 18" Prodrive OZ's I got from Scoobyworld the other week

Cheers

John

Big up Wendy @ Scoobyworld. I turned up unexpected at her doorstep (home) late this morning in me dirty Cav SRi and demanded a Ninja rear silencer!

Wendy did not disappoint (retrieving one from her secret stash), and within 10 minutes and £215 later I was on my way home with a shiny new 5" slash pipe silencer on my back seat. Now all i need is a car to fit it on!

Roll on 'return of the Scoob' (next week) - i am so delighted and i haven't even fitted/heard the system (well, not at least on my car). Big, big thanks to Wendy for her flexibility and her little uns for entertaining me with their HOTWHEELS garage!

Kevin

Question

I have a '00 RS, not turbo, will the ninja still fit my car? If so, is it designed to be used with a turbo or can it also be used with a naturally aspirated engine? Just curious...

Suby,

I don't see any reason why a Ninja wouldn't work with a normally aspirated Scoob. As for the fitment to an RS - I can't say. I would imagine its the same, but not having ever seen an RS in the flesh, I'm perhaps not the best person to comment. Try emailinf Wendy direct.

Hmmmm......looks promising guys!

Cant really see that much difference in the diffs TBH, which Im surprised at!
Thought the R and RA diffs were supposed to be a lot larger?!

Looking at it again, theres a bit of a kink after the main bend on the stock item, and not on the Ninja. Praps thats where it'll be close...

Oooohh Im getting excited!
Go on John, you know you want to.....
