Business is slow for everyone at the moment. Everyone is being cautious but it won't stay like this forever. I really do see it turning around next year if everyone can survive this. It's been a steady downturn for us for the last 2 years now in terms of turnover. Services is always a good bet. When we turn the corner, hardware will be back on the agenda and people will be spending as they haven't been for a while.

SAP huh?
Most users think it provides very poor ROI and very high TCO...
Take SAP BW for instance - What is the point of having an enterprise warehouse if it is so proprietary that no external apps can talk to it? If you ask me the Gerries are taking the Mick...
Now... BI is where its at.... Last big paycheck paid out at our place was for £165k back in February..... and that was just the commission element! He went straight out and bought a Ferrari the same day - flash git!
Aah... IT, you just gotta love it!

Hey BS, get me a job....
I have been both a SAP and a BaaN jockey, implementation, training, user support. But always for the company I worked for, Monsanto, Nortel, Solectron.
How do you get into the dollar for what I have done for a crappy £30K P.A !! instead of per day.

Dai......Send me your Cv detailing the modules you have experience in, etc and I will hawk it about for you. Do you want to work near home or do you mind contracting and traveling?

Never needed a passport to cross borders, usually my SLR and SA80 did the trick in place of a visa.
Don't mind where I work, worked in just about every country in Europe and a few in the Far East. Spent 9 months in Belfast doing BaaN and WWMS implementation and training for Solectron. And 6 months in San Jose training in the same.
