some good and bad advice so far but nobody has said what might happen to me car!! some of the storys you guys tell! i know its gonna be hard but it seems that only a solicitor can give you the gen lowdown and my wallet is lightened every time i talk to him.

I have to say, I got the 'joint' car BUT had to take on the loan, so was no better off! Sign the car over to someone!

Aparrition: I can only agree. Divorce seems to bring out the worst in people. Usually the real victims are the kids

Actually Colin: I agree the kids are the ones who are hurt the most BUT, a high percentage of divorces would be relativly amicable if the lawyers didn't go in full throttle and stir things up like they usually do.
When I went to see about my divorce the first thing the solicitor mentioned was how much money I would be entitled to. Quite honestly all I wnated was OUT and I couldn't have cared less about the dosh. But because she and his solicitor wound things up so much, it turned pretty nasty for a time !

Sounds about right - seems an amicable divorce is a rare thing. There is usually someone outside stirring the ****.
