Well, at least I managed to stay with you for part of the trip this time.
Following our first stop, the guy behind in silver classic got stuck behind some lights, so I waited at the corner when we turned left. He caught me up but we had to do some extreemly fast driving to catch you lot up - the best bit of the night - and he stuck to my tail like glue.
We then passed CW and with no brake lights I let the silver scooby through (nice wave) and trundled up some classic roads. Then the pear shape moment, I got stuck behind a slow moving lorry up a steep hill (could not get past before the blind right hander) so as to sit behind him. When I managed to get past you had all bugger off! I missed the turn somewhere but eventually went left at The Anckor towards Castleton and Edale. I remember going up the hill you guys came down (crazily steep that one) which put me back on the original road so I headed for A6 back home.
Next time can we have maps, numbers, waypoints, GPS, signposts etc etc etc
Pubs are good idea. Give everyone a chance to catch up and I way busting for a drink all the way around.
Very memorable evening indeed, and appologies to all about the brake lights!!!!!!!!! Not sure what the problem is as all blubs are Ok and I swaped fuses, but not success. Any ideas?
CW, I have loads a webspace if you need it. Drop me a mail and I will set you up an ftp account.
Next weds is not possible but looking forward to the next run.

Hey Super! (Silver Classic was me )
I thought you were just engine braking, I thought Jeez, this guys good - just kidding (about the engine brake thing).
Had one particular hairy moment when following Black, downhill, two cars in front, he went, I followed, second car slammed on the anchors and threw a right turn indicator.
Whooooooh! My new brakes are well and truly worn in now.
Chris: Email on way.

I just remembered the pick-up with a flapping flat tyre coming the other way. I was tanking it up the hill towards a blind left hander but I caught sight of it over the walls as I approached. I did not know what is was so took the sensible approach to slow down to reasonable speed for the corner just in case someone was in trouble.
It was just as well I did, as I rounded the corner there was an old biddy in her metro overtaking it on my side of the road!

I am starting to think it is a conspiracy! I seem to come into contact with them a little too often for it to be coincidence.

I've just had a look at the video I took, and unfortunatly there are noise bars all across the footage.
I think it was because I was running it in long play, and it has been used a couple of times now.
I am really p***ed off, as the drive past up rushup edge was excellent, and made me chuckle.
Nevermind though, I will be there for the next one, unless it's next wednesday of course,
see you all soon,
chris.

Aye was a shame your brake lights werent working super-t
Most unfortunate I was the only one not to hear as we headed up to the cat and fiddle! I thought "christ hes taking these bends like a man who knows no fear" The fear switched to me on the first heavy braking bend we reached on the way up
That van was class - the guys mustve known they had shredded their tyre and were running on the rim! I reckon that will be an expensive repair job.
I cant make next Wednesday if anyone is going out by the way.

Hi Guys
I've only just managed to get to my computer since the meet. Really enjoyed the meet, there were some stunning cars on show and some top notch driving from the cars in front of me! I was gutted on the way back over the 'snake' though, just before I reached the Pass Inn I got stuck behind some clown doing 30mph all the way through the 3 mile or so double white line section. Oh well, I was running on vapour by then so probably just as well! I thought half a tank of fuel would be more than adequate, I'll know better next time.
As for the flames, SteelX, they were news to me! Probably should get a re-map to sort but in the meantime......
See you all soon

Hi guys!
off work yesterday so have just read all your posts, seems like everyone enjoyed the run! Lost everyone on the way to Chapel-on-le-frith, we got stoped at the lights, where some muppet was doing a U turn in the middle of them nearly taking out one of the silver Scoobs in front, did not try and run the red!! Well up for the next run, and map etc would be good, pehaps a Pub stop!! You now for us guys who like to run at the back!

You'll all be pleased to know I got my brake lights fixed today. Tried the ProSport guys in Stockport, and they (very) quickly diagnosed a problem with the swtich on the pedal and fixed it on the spot. Did not charge me either which was nice. It is the first thing on the car not to cost a fortune!

Interested in coming on the next trip out, I'm in Sandbach, with a couple of other mates in Leek. We've done a couple of trips up to the Cat & Fiddle earlier this year.
Drop me a line with a meeting up place, time and date?
Gareth

goober, we are organising a proper list of people in the south mcr area, I am taking mobile numbers, and brief details of cars for the next run out, probably next wednesday. supertouring is organising that one, I think!
let me know your details and I will pass them on,
that goes for everyone else who was present on wednesday, drop me your details so we can be properly organised next time,
see you soon,
chris.

I have realised that I am not available for the next 3 wednesdays, so best if I do not run with the battern for these outings. Keep us informed of any activities though, and I will be back out to play when other commitments allow. Nice to see the numbers continuing to grow.

I'm sorry to hear that supertouring, but if your up for a spin tomorrow evening, I will be going out around 9pm after the wife gets home from work. I was going to go out on the Sheffield meet, but I can't get a babysitter, so will have to wait till she gets back from work in the evening.
Anybody else up for a quick blast tomorrow, I was thinking of maybe going down the A34 from Alderley Edge, through to Congleton, and back via monks heath area.

Can't make this Wednesday either, just got tickets for the Matrix on Wednesday night.
May be able to have a blast tonight, depends on how the day pans out. As said, put details on here and I'll see what I can do.
Chris: You got my email with details yes?
Cheers,
Steel

excellent, an impromptu meet, and 4 cars already. You do all realise I can't come out till 9pm at the earliest?
Meet at the usual place if that is ok with everyone, then we can go up to hazel grove, and through to poynton, pick up supertouring, and head round the back of adlington to the a34, through to monks heath, and have a play around there,
will let you know by phone when I'm ready to go,
Yes steelx, I got your details, see you later,
chris.
just realised gav, you are going to miss the NBO aren't you?

Just got home. Nice run, Monks Heath (Scooby Garage) to Chelford (road was open about 9:45 - covered in water), Holmes Chapel, Congleton, Maccelsfield, Monks Heath.
Too much traffic really, but Congleton to Macc was overtaking fun. Beware the Beemer driver on full beam ;-)
Cheers all,
Steel
