Im still laughing at the chocolate body work comment myself. The amount of R&D ford and karmann put in to the design of that shell to accomodate the shortened Sierra 4x4 chassis, im sure they would appreciate hearing that elloquent descriptive sentance.

Just to re-literate what Damo says. I like scoobs, not so much your day in day out model , ie UK turbo, WRX etc.. but the more 'befier' spec models, say the 22B, P1 etc i can look at and think.. hmm, nice. Its these Scoobs that i think you could compare, heritage, exclusivity and rarity to the E cos.

Most people have a common conception that Cos owners are cos worth through and through, live and breathe the car , worship the ground it drives on etc.. well that is true in some account but id like to think that most if us, like me.. are just proud of what car they own and what it is. I appreciate all cars, especially the Evo V / VI and wouldn batter an eyelid in swapping my current e cos for a good TME Evo VI

at the end of the day, were all car enthusiasts, despite what manufacturers route we decided to stroll down.

Well said Mr EscCos

I have to say that I don't think EVOs are that rare any more, they are falling below £20k rapidly and I see quite a few driving about. The VI does look good but again I think there could end up being too many on the road for them to maintain their exclusivity, give it a couple of years and no-one will bat an eyelid at an EVO VII or VIII in particular.

Still all great cars though!

I was behind a white "y" reg escort cossie and i must say it looks really nice for its age of design, and it seems rather big.

The interior is nice, better than my classic pre 97 interior.

Y reg would be extremely rare. never heard of one. But theres always a first.

I agree Evos are becoming increasingly common, more so with the newer versions out, ie the VII and to be seen, the VIII.

To be honest, i dont really see many VI's around. DOes anyone know how many are introduced to the uk, or is that too much of an open ended question due to imports etc? Id honestly say i'd probably see more E Cos's than an Evo V1.

You hardly see a fast subaru every day. I see more 360's and 911's than i do proper scoobys. Now, let me think. How many blue ovals have i seen in the past 2 mins.

Chrisp Try looking where it matters in the autotrader - parkers told me my Fiesta RS was worth £2995 and it went for £7K back in 1999, when it comes to RS's what the are and should be worth is usually two different things. I want a Escort Cossie but for a good one they are far too much money.

Also trying looking on a subaru dealers forecourt same difference . I have seen houses which are 20K over priced and are on the market for 18 months waiting for house prices to catch up

Just because someones asks a price doesnt mean the car is going to sell for that price .
