STi7 WITH PRODRIVE SPRING
#32
Yes SACC2554 is the correct part number.
Ordered mine from Lancaster Pangbourne couple of weeks ago, still waiting.
Anyone have any idea when they are likely to turn up? Another thread mentioned 6th June?
Also will these be same Eibach springs already supplied and fitted to various cars or have Prodrive used another manufacturer?

Grobby,
WWW. rumours LOL
lots of speculation after Eibach's long drawn out attempts to supply Prodrive STi7 spring kits with Prodrives own Spec's. Prodrive (IIRC) posted somewhere here that The MY03STi does have different spring and hinted they would be ready in 6 German weeks
Regards to who makes them, doesn't realy matter with the Prodrive label will ensure both-:
1) Quality and thier spec.
2) You keep warranty.
IMHO

Grobby,
It was my dealer who said the springs (Sti7) would now be Friday 6th June, put back from May 24th.
Aparently IM cannot get them from Prodrive.
Fingers crossed.

Aparently
I bet Prodrive can't believe after all the trouble they went to to get these springs to market only 12 sets have been sold
I wonder how many they will sell when IM actually buy a decent number?
Matt
P.S. I quite like mine, but have only had them on the car since Saturday

Matt,
Subaru were hit so bad by the poor uptake of the Bugeyes and the UK300 IMHO then really got caught out with the sales of the STi7, Hopefully have learned a lessen.. you can't make an ugly car go slower but if it's faster who cares what it looks like
If 500 PPP and 500 spring sets were availble last year at the launch there still would have been 500 less Standard STi7's and still a backlog I think they only sold 1 set of prodrive barge covers for driving lamps but the MY03Sti is now upon us and Bugeyes is old hat
My mate with a P1 was taken around the Nurburg Ring in a MY02STi7 PPP and MY02STi7 TEK3 and a MY03STiPPP and he also drove mine half way home. (his was sounding sickly travelling to Germany, although were using super + Octane Boost as dodgy foriegn fuel)
He was so impressed by the handling and comfort of the STi's he will be selling the P1 and buying a newage like most classics owners are getting near ending 3 year or extended warranty. so most will move on one way or another. IMHO
