Sorry guys/girls,
I like it!!
The panels are all real carbon fibre! they are all removable and so are the stickers!!!!!!
It can be put back to a std 22b in very little time.
Surely the sticker serve 2 purposes:
1- To advetise TSL at all the car shows and cruises.
2- To protect the paint work
The rear wing might be a little OTT but I shall reserve juddgment on that till I see it in the flesh
Paul,
You are a brave man!!

I was up at TSL when they got the carbon panels, he knows the controversy it would cause - like the man said, "no one else has the ***** to do this to a 22b"

oooooohhhhh Yes! I like it!
Many people commented that my car was tacky, well, **** off! It's MY car *I* will do what *I* want to it.
And I think Paul probably feels the same, and I don't blame him
People moaning on about It's a 22B, you can't do that to it! So what if it's a limited edition car, it's up to the owner to do what they like to it. I would love to have a 22B simply so I could tart it up in an extreme way just to nark off people who'll say it's tacky Childish? yes, but I don't care
Top effort Paul, I love it!

Umm chaps IT'S JUST A BLOODY CAR! ffs, the way people are going on it's like Paul has defaced the Mona Lisa. It's Paul's car, he can do what he wants to it, so what if it's a limited edition car, who cares, I like my scooby but come on, isn't this a bit ****? it is a car.

oh gawd mate.
What is the point of spending a fortune of a mint very very exclusive 22b to then go and bin most of the parts and turn it into something you see on those childrens roundabouts at the fairground.
I appreciate that everyone has their own tastes but this is a bit of Subaru history you are undoing here.
IMHO if I was the proud onwer of what is simply one of the rarest of imprezas I wouldn't do anything other than mods people cant see (i.e. where it counts under the bonnet, brakes and suspension).
Trouser, its your choice m8 - but not one I'd have made thats for sure. I worried about your intentions when I saw the pics from the Doncaster show - but its all very very clear now.
Maybe my views will change when I see it in the flesh....we'll just have to see.

Have I seen a standard 22B, umm, we talking Type UK or Jap Import? i've certainly seen a few 22B's, I happen to know a few owners, not sure if their cars are standard though, I know a few of them are certainly very far from standard, and yes, I am being pedantic on purpose. Yes i do like 22B's, the point is, Paul has done what HE wants to the car, sod what you lot think, it's his car. I'm not saying everyone should like it.
No doubt every original bit can be put back on the car with the greatest of ease, so when/if he decides to sell it the whingers can STFU.
Sorry, just don't see what all the fuss is about really, it's just a ltd edition 2 door STi 4 with 2.2l engine, flared arches and a wider front and rear track

Well I think it looks 'orrible, hardly recognisable as a 22b anymore. To be honest, I'd actually feel embarrased to drive it as it looks to "boy racerish" for my liking.
But it's your car, your money and you have the right to do with it what you please.
The yellow car looks much better

True, each to their own Markus, but I think people are entitled to their opinion no matter how much you choose to disagree with it, don't you?
After all, is this not the reason it is up here, apart from to annoy us all with yet more subliminal advertising.
Not my style, nor would I use them.

Most of you have totally missed the point.
This car will be shown at a number of different shows and events throughout the year. It will also be seen in a number of magazines.
Through out the year the parts will change for each event and so will the sticker theme. A lot of the cost of development and showing is covered by sponsors who pay good money to have thier name splashed down the side of a car that will be seen by thaousands and end up in a magazine.
No one is going to feature the same car in a magazine twice. What Trouser is doing is making sure the car stands out at each event and ends up in the magazines.
Like some one has already said, laugh all you want but Trouser is a marketing god.
He'll be laughing his head off at this thread.

Maximum publicity to who though? As we've seen in this thread, most of the Subaru Enthusiast community dont like it, and as salsa said, it's TFATF Max Power kinda style, and most of that market wouldnt know a 22B if it bit them on the bum...
