To the MAGAZINE EDITORS for ****$ sake!!!
Everyone has done STi's and WRX's to death, so if you can do something a bit different you are guaranteed coverage, and boy, is Trouser guaranteed some coverage!!!
I was gonna avoid posting on this thread as everyone is entitled to their opinions and its funny listening to some of the responses, but some of you really are just totally missing the point. Yes, if you don't like it then say so, thats the point of the thread, but to question the 'taste' the 'motives' and the type of car used is really totally missing the point.
And for the purists out there, EVERY part from the standard car is in bubble wrap, numbered, catalogued, and sitting in a garage ready to return the car to standard later this year after Trouser has taken the mags and shows by storm.
Also, I guarantee a lot of you will change your mind about it when you see it in the flesh. I know I have.

I'd have liked to have seen it without the blended blue on the bonnet and boot. The way its been done makes it look like its actually stick on cf trim, not genuine stuff.
At the end of the day, nothing has been done to the car that isn't reversable, stickers peel off, boot and bonnet can be put back etc etc, so I'm sure when the time comes to Paul wanting something different, he'll do what he needs to to sell the car. He may find a buyer who wants it in its final state, or someone may want it back as the orginal, who knows, who cares.
From a company perspective, its worth an absolute gold mine to get the vehicle in one of the boy racer mags - just think of the Nova/Clio/etc etc boys all wanting a piece of the action and spending their hard-earned on an early impreza so they can replicate the f&tf look.
Cheers

Well I like it.......
Shame I won't see it in the flesh
(not going to Japfest)
Which mag will bite first. I think they will be queuing![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
What brilliant publicity for TSL...
Lighten up guys, Trouser is running a business and this will grab peoples attention.... Look at the conversation it has generated here and this is just a small audiance compared to magazine coverage.
WELL DONE TSL![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Good for the purpose of advertising for TSL but IMO it is a reel shame to see this classic impreza like this
Sorry no thumbs up for me.
I bet the original owner is being sick right now.

Personally I think it looks hideous and you couldn't pay me to drive round in it. ![EEK!](images/smilies/eek.gif)
However, as a marketing tool it's fantastic, you could never miss it and will no doubt bring in business to TSL.
As to those defending it saying people will come in buying the parts, yes they will, but they won't put all of them on or have such a ludicrous paint/sticker scheme

I thought it looked far worse in the flesh, than in the pics
as for making people want to go out and buy all the bits, it made me want to put my car back to standard, so had the exact opposite effect
I understand what is being done, just not my cup of tea at all

stickers arent my cup of tea but its a demo car so needs them. The lights are terrible, spoiler isnt great but other than that it looks good.
Some of you forget that you own THE max power muppet car now, they are now a scally boy racer car and some of you need to face the fact.

I think its a bit of fun, nice one Trouser ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Wouldnt do it to my car but the point is it gets everyone attention. Even if people dont like it, you still look at it and gets TSL noticed. Its an advertising car and it got the job done.
Some of the other topics here - there are some realy nasty cars but no one posts. But Trouser's 22b - atleast it got you all looking at it and posting it. So he did get noticed and at least you would recognise who it was if you see him driving about.
Therefore job done by TSL. They got noticed
Norris designs are known for their crazy tuning ideas - such as their evo. TSL go down the cheaper route and instead of spending something stupid like £60,000 on a car, they go and spend a few grand on the outside.
Cheaper and still gets noticed
Fair play

Wheels, nice.
Carbon bits, nice since they show off a performance part for what it is, I but agree they should not have been half painted.
Stickers, acceptable, it's a marketing machine after all.
Seats, not so good.
Rear wing, the original looks way better.
All the above I can handle but,
.......those rear lights look absolutely pants!!!!
I have no problem with people doing what they want with their car and their money. How anybody can say differently I don't know.
BUT, surely the purpose is to get positive publicity by *improving* the car? I know it is my opinion only, but I think it would have looked much better with the original spoiler, standard STi lights, and better quality seats. Just because you can tart up a car to the max, doesn't mean that it will look the better for it....
