After watching it on track I was intrigued, and think I found it in the paddock, mods were suspension, brakes, air filter, but the backbox was a standard twin pea shooter.
Assuming it was the same one, pretty sure it was though.
True it is a V-tech, but he kept up with cars with over twice the power, awesome stuff.

There was impressive driving, An old box shaped white mazda doing some lift over steer for the crowd several times into quarry, an older shaped grey EVO 4 I think, set up well for for entry to quarry and just nailing around without a hint of stepping out going alot faster and smoother than most.
The other EVO boys getting a bit caried away! won't go into that one.

Disco, had a look at your car yesterday, it does look better in the flesh
never managed to find you during the day - it did take me about 30 mins (and a stack of phone calls) to meet up with Longun (mobile reception was a bt poor).
BTW, don't know if you realised or not, but you went flying past myself and another red RX-7 just after leaving J17 on the M4. We were sitting at the side of the road waiting for the rest of FDUK to put in an appearance, lots of quick cars showing-off as they went past

Cheers Robbie, my pics didn't do it justice really.
Love it or hate, the guest voters (MLR Rep, Japfest organisers, etc etc) voted it Best Car on Stand at the SIDC paddock, so it cant be that bad![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
I saw you waving but didn't realise you had a 7 now until it was too late to wave back.
Seemed to miss most people I knew there, but had great fun anyway

I was amazed how organised getting into Japfest was - the Cross Hands to Japfest Scoob Convoy was a sight to behold![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Robertio, I was one of of the guys with Joe (Longun) when he finally got phone reception
and we came to ogle the RX7's ![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
As T5nyw mentioned, It was quite shocking how little money could be spent on quality bits (with the exception of the Sumo Power stand) - my only purchase was a magazine subscription![Confused](images/smilies/confused.gif)
All in all a great introduction to National Scoob Meets - when is the next one????
I've uploaded "a few" piccies here: http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=210418

Congrats Disco, I never realised you had won
don't let the fame go to your head ![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
Hi Ian, I'll remember to stand beside a car with its alarm going off next time, it seemed to speed things up
