chiark. I went for the quality(read costly)Pentagon tint.Well worth the extra though IMHO.No quibble warranty & local fit.
Fronts are "light smoke"(most you can have legally)in Supaglass.
Rears are "smoke" also in Supaglass.
And rear corners & back are "smoke" in standard film.
The dark interior multiplies the effect,so it looks a lot lighter from the inside looking out,so no probs with visibility.
Supaglass, as well as being virtualy bullet proof,is highly reflective so makes it hard to see into the car.

although i sold my bugeye to free up some cash the wagon came a long at the right time indeed as my missus is also up ze duff, the wagon will make a very sensible car for the little un, honest love

if it wasnt for the wagon i couldnt have had a wagon cos of occasionaly needed for work so got to carry tolls etc also i go carp fishing and normally have my brother and another with me and if you no anything about carp fishing you will understand how much tackle we take never been pulled over touch wood love the way people think it cant compete with the saloon usual comment like but its only a wagon 4 doors a much faster love both 4 drs and 5 drs just that this is more practical 4 me

Well my wagon plus load of rubbish and broken kids toys on the way to the tip gave a 330 beemer a surprise when it shot off from the lights
This little silver jap estate car weighed down with bits of some of my old trees sticking out the windows, just er. disappeared into the distance...

I know they're not the best looking car ever made , but I think the blob eye shape is respectable , could do with some flared arches at the front though like the saloon to finish it off .I find I get quite a bit of body roll compared with my old classic , I guess a set of Prodrive springs are needed . The dog loves it though

Whats with all this kiddy crap? you dont need kids to enjoy the wagon. The only thing people need to realise is that as far as the wagons concerned colour is critical and the best colour is silver, specially with the red brake calipers

Nothing wrong with wagons, I might even end up with one sometime in the future but you don't need an estate just because you have kids. We managed fine with ours and i used to have a 3 door golf 1.9GT TDI. The boot on that is a joke. The missus had an escort at the time. What the hell are you carrying for the kid that needs an estate? We could get travel cot, pushchair and luggage in a golf. Stop trying to haul round mothercare!!
Fair enogh if you want to go into speedy removals but stop with the I need an estate because I have a kid thing!!!

The question is though, am I the only wagon owner who gets a booming noise at high speed on the motorway? I'm kind of thinking it's the wind catching the roof rails wrong and causing it - the sort of noise you get in a lot of cars when you have the back windows open a bit. But then maybe it's something else.

would think its because of the open boot area compared to the saloon.....no rear shelf enclosing the boot area off, to limit the noise into the cabin..... not too intrusive on mine though,so might be dependant on what exhaust is fitted

Had a 4 door for 6 years now but I am thinking of getting a newer wagon and maybe an auto.

I had a MY96 black wagon for three years and have changed to a MY97 4 door.
I miss the wagon. It's the load space for me. You could carry anything, it was great. As for set-up I think that they have the torque coming in earlier on the wagon because of the reason, load.
Also peoples attitude towards me changed. It's a local thing, I think, but when people here see a blue scooby with gold alloys and a spoiler they think "scumbag, boyracer". My wife thinks I'm mad but it's diffinitely there. A load of begrudgers down here IMHO. The wagon was black and totally understated. I'd nearly go back to one to reduce the hasle.

I had a V1 STi Wagon in red, was an awsome car, really regret selling it.
Never got stopped by the police in it, was followed a few times, didn't really attract chavs the same as saloon's do either as no big spoilers etc.
