Lecturn style screens are about £5.5k each, wall mounts are alot cheaper. Other costs involved are the control boxes and other conecting equipmet. For a top-end Crestron system to control a home theatre system you would pay arounf £8-10k fitted and programmed. On this screen you would be able to see who was at the front door and let them in without having to stop the film. You can programme them to do whatever you want. With whole house systems you can close the gate at the end of the drive whist you are at work, check that the cleaning lady is still working whilst you are on holiday, just let your imagination run wild.

What defines a bachelor pad ?
I've got at least half the things listed (and working on most of the rest) and I'm married with 2 kids ! They're just desirable things that people with families usually can't afford.
**** lying around and a cooker that is never used usually means bachelor pad !

My bedroom (ignore the rest of the house for a moment) has....
.28" widescreen TV.
DVD player
Video player/recorder
Dolby Digital 5.1 Decoder
PC (Athlon XP), surround sound speakers, Printer, Scanner, Cable Modem (PC also plugged into TV's S-Video port, so can watch pc on TV )
XBox
GameCube
Dreamcast
Drinks cabinet (Sidekicks/Screamers, Smirnoff Vodka, Baileys, WKD, Tia Maria, Archers, etc....)
Hopefully getting mini fridge for my birthday
God movie and gaming nights are so much fun
