That really is a gorgeous looking car - there's only one thing that spoils it IMO, and that's the Mondeo rear light-clusters! Nevertheless, it looks awesome.

In the absence of hard data I thought I would put the net to use.

There are a few 'common' leaks

First, heater coolant pipes. They are incorrectly tightened at the factory and is missed by the PDA.

Second, water getting in around bolts that connect the heater enclosure to the cabin area.

Third, water getting in through the top of the windscreen this is due to a mis-alignment (very similar to what afflicted my DB7) it only occurs on one side or the other.

Verified on the 3 Noble websites as common problems… leaks are not very ‘21st Century’ are they.

There are some ‘fuel leak’ issues that I can’t ‘get a handle’ on yet…

Found this also…

Keep us posted on your car Jim...

A few very early cars had problems with the coolant pipes becoming brittle over time. They've since changed the design, and most of the early cars have had theirs replaced with the newer type I believe.

Sure they weren't the same people's problems on 3 sites? ;-)

leaks are not very ?21st Century? are they.
No. Broccoli is the new onion.

What do you regard as "common" anyway? Someone talking about "common water ingress issues" on the first thread you find searching pistonheads for "leaks" doesn't make it a common problem ;-)

Maybe 2 or 3 cars out of just over 200 have had the problems you've detailed above. That's probably a similar rate to the main production car manufacturers.

I've had far more problems with my VW Golf than the M12.

There are some ?fuel leak? issues that I can?t ?get a handle? on yet?
I've not heard of any such problems...

Is it me but if you take the old Lotus Europa front end and recess the lights and indicators (make them flush) widen it, butch it up a bit (front damn/spoiler) and you have a Noble!

Shame the noble is a blatant copy of an RS200 also

Guy at work has one - bit of a shed as it was one of the prototypes IIRC

Yup mate - Riaz is the chap - I assumed it was a prototype as he always seem to be getting little improvements done to it..

Riaz's car was, I believe, the 2nd ever Noble M12, and the only customer car to be built entrely in the UK before the factory in South Africa was sorted out...

Interested in these cars, any more on reliability now that its 8 months on? What kind of warranty do they come with, like the subaru 3 year one with extended option?

I looked at getting one, I think they are a fantastic car, I would have had to take out quite a bit of finance, so decided against it, never the less it has to be the best car Ive driven, so much power, Elise esk handling, wonderfully balanced, and expensive to run That is the mian downside, but hey if you can afford the 50K asking price the cost of a set of disks proberly doesnt worry you
