Yep heard this one before as well I was told to go abnd buy an RS as well. The RS is a stripped out racer with out ABS and AYC and electrics, air con ?. My RA has electric windows, mirrors, climate control, ABS, alcantara seats, blue console and dash. The spec is very similar to a GSR IIRC. This was the point I think both me and crypt were both trying to make in a roundabout way. Its difficult to compare and say one is better than another.

I have a car which will do 0-100 in under 13 seconds straight out of the box if you have an EVO that can convincingly blow that away then it aint standard .

I own a wrx and i'm in the process of importing an Evo i've had the wrx for over and have loved the car from the moment i drove it.
The Evo's looks do it for me though far more aggressive looking.There's also the point of loads of scoobys on the road compared to Evo's.
The thing i'll miss though with the scoob is the noise of the engine you just can't beat it

I've got an STI 5(link,exhaust,induction kit,fmic) and my brother has got an EVO 6 with exactly the same mods, both running 1.4 bar.
The cars drive differently but there is not a lot in it speedwise. 1/4 mile mine is slightly quicker(12.61, before I fitted FMIC, as opposed to his 12.86). Depends on what sort of car you are after, both have good and bad points. I prefer mine, he prefers his!

having had both a evo6 and now owning a p1 i would have to say that if you want to go from a to b as quick as poss it has to be a evo but if you just want a quick car thats great to drive all the time its got to be the p1 and it costs less to run but having said all that i miss the evo
