Why does everyone seem to be selling their P1
#31
Well I've still got mine and am keeping it - it'll get garaged when I buy the next motor, but at the minute there's nothing I want instead (short of a 911 Turbo but I'm no Rockafella!)
Don't know whether my **** is as big as people that own RB5s, imports, Fuglies or whatever and don't really care. It look great, is a pleasure to drive every day and puts a grin on my face on the Scottish twisties. Nuff said

Extraordinary **** comment back then. Is this sort of thing usual over here? Are you secretly gay? i.e. the more mods, the bigger your **** feels and the more you feel attractive to the only other people who notice/care - other scoob owners.
Extraordinary.

So true Gordo.
Wife made me coffee yesterday morning and said
"We need a new car dear, the P1 is 2 years old today"
"You want to change it?"
"Oh no don't do that! Just get a new car"
BOT I think many of these cars have reached the 3yr/X,0000 miles point that their owners routinely change at.
At the moment trading against a new Scoob will not dent the wallet but in 12 months time who knows.

Jees - Just because some come up for sale does not make the lemons. I would imagine the first few hundred flew out of the dealers 3 years ago, they are all around the same age and people are getting rid of them. No conspiracy just how things work.
I saw several MY00's for sale on here the other day - are they all dogs or is there a problem with them

Paul - you surely remember the trouble Subaru had selling them??
They ended up giving 100% 3 years interest free loans, free insurance for 3 years, also free servicing for 3 years too!! Well, thats what I was offered - so, of course, who would own one after all that has run out??
Hence the glut on the market!! You NEED freebies to hang on to an Impreza Coupe, surely??

Senile dementia setting in?
Don't you remember the £27,500 part ex offer for your Escort Cab and the 25% discount to deal within three days.
Did it fall apart 'cos the only ones in stock had Gold Wheels or did the alarm clock ruin the negotiations?

"Yep, I havent got a RB5 - would just love one however, they ARE the best Impreza ...................... I thought EVERYONE knew that???
The P1 is something of nothing, its not practical, its not the fastest, its not the best looking, its overpriced, its pointless!!"
But the RB5 is just a standard Turbo in a Euro colour and a less practical fixed rear seat on 18" wheels....
How can that make it the best???
Mark

i have owned my p1 for 9 months now and before that i owned a evo6 and i have to say the evo was quicker round the bends but the p1 is by far a better drivers car and to live with every day its just great you just have to look back in evo mags to see how great they rate it and now having test driven an evo8 and the new sti8 sorry but the p1 is simply the best

I thought the P1 was an STi 5 Type R with a 10K prodrive badge added??? Can someone explain to us mortals that do not know what the almoghty prodrive did to a humble STI5 to make it the ultimate car taht nothing on this plannet can match??? not even the Porsche 911 Turbo 4x4!!!!!!
I have a MY00 with KW adjustable Suspension also pushing 280+BHP with a big spoiler and 17inch wheels, why is the P1 better than my car??
All Jap import cars are 280PS what is the difference with a P1 except for the prodrive badge, or is it just snobbery of the British Subaru Owner?????
just out of curiosity.

<reaches for school cap and short trousers>
Wurzel, I would have expected better from you.
The question was
Why are they being sold?
Not IIRC
Are they are a Prodrive branded bundle of overpriced crap?
No wonder the aRS Club were offered a forum less disparity by the week!
