MY00 - Std except for exhaust. I get about 300 miles until the needle is on the middle E of "empty". I fill up, it takes 49-50 litres. So plenty left.
That's about 28 MPG. Running on Optimax (defo better MPG imho). Drops to around 20 MPG when out on a "raz".
The trick to driving fast is to drive "smooth"![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Ive averaged 26mpg out of my MY00 PPP'd scoob (about 10 miles of town driving, 200 miles of mixed "A" road driving.
The best ive had is around 400 miles out of a tank (during the fuel crisis).

Now how does all this work? there seems to be a good bit of variation here.
I had about 300 miles out of a full tank of normal stuff. It was a 1.8 GL, both the cats are buggered, and it was full to the roof with luggage, furniture etc. Driving Aberdeen to Liverpool, about 80ish.
I can't believe anyone gets 500+ out of a tank though - especially not down a motorway. What's going on here?
Sorry - that was a Beemer doing the 500 to the tank...but that's far too good!
