Piston Slap on MY99: Lack of cooperation from International Motors
#31
Richard,
Cheers. I think I'll get a second opinion before they open my engine up. FYI: mild piston slap goes away when the engine heats up and the piston(s) expand to fill the cyclinder. It really is time to get the slap sorted if you can hear it even when the engine is warm.
Ben.
P.S. I have a similar thread in Drivetrain at the moment: http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=219010

Paul,
Thanks for the reply - I'll definitely now follow the cam belt tensioner issue up. I'll drop you an email in the morning when its not as late as it is now!
Thanks again
Ben.
Edited to ask where Roger Clark Motorsport is based - their website is under construction. I was thinking I might drop by and ask their opinion?
