I think it needs a lot more than a little tweeking!
But then if we are talking about modifying the two, then the Evo takes the mark to yet another level much higher than the Subaru could ever dream of getting to with their 2ltr Boxer engine!
Subaru, I'm afraid to say, are still one step behind!

Does it matter, some people like Imprezas, some people like Evos, some people like Ferraris, some people like Metros, you know, its all horses for courses, each to thier own and all that, no need to actually argue about it.

Whose arguing, I think both cars are great pieces of kit. I had to make the same decision and chose the scoob. Difficult decision but the one that suited me personally.

ChrisP-No I haven't ever driven a type RA. Didn't Mellow have one at SIDC National day last year. If so you might have seen me and him doing two laps with absolutely nothing between us. Now we all know Mellow is the fastest driver, but he couldn't gain anything on me in my Evo!!! And mines only a humble little VI ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Muppet-If you want to compare an RA, shouldn't the Evo be an RS version?
Moses-Hello and welcome back! You kebab muncher!

After a P1. I had an EVO VII FQ300 with an Xtreme Auto's Stage 1 engine conversion. Supposed to be about 325 bhp.
I had the car for about 4 months & couldn't wait to get rid of the thing. I found it totally dull & uninspiring. OK it went along quickly and tore up bends but I just hated it.
After that I had an STi 8 with PPP. This was much better.
Now have a 996 911 C2 with PSM.
However, I'm very interested in Litchfield Imports P25 Impreza when it's ready. Come on Iian.

Nothing is as predictable on this forum as a ten page Scooby vs Evo thread ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Why does everyone bite![Confused](images/smilies/confused.gif)
Since time began, Evo's have been the faster track car & Scoobies have been the better proposition for real life driving/ownership.
Yes you can claim it would be a different story if the Scooby was JDM, had better tyres, DCCD-A, ATD, bumpsteer removal, eibachs, FMIC, Ecutek, 2.5l block blah blah blah.
But surely that is missing the point isn't it?
You just tweak your Evo at http://www.xtreme-uk.net/ or http://www.powerengineering.co.uk/ or http://www.rcdevelopments.com/ & we are back at square one![Confused](images/smilies/confused.gif)

Whatever happened to the Spec-C vs 911 GT3 thing with Justin Wilson and Takuma Sato - was that ever televised? IIRC, there was nothing in it, and the GT3 is one of the quickest ever run on TG.
