Can someone explain why anyone deserves to live if they have done the above. First offence my ****. One strike and that's it, trip down a meat rendering plant and made into dog food

A few in Ireland have some nice ideas, knee-capping makes it quite hard to climb up drain pipes

too much tolerance these days

eye for an eye and all that is the way to go. If some gives a pensioner a kicking then they should receive a similar punishment

A few years ago a young kid and known troublemaker was throwing stones at my m8's windows, one had been broken a couple of weeks previous and the m8 was well pi$$ed. He chased after the ‘little street urchin’ and grabbed him by the shirt sleeve, as he was running as fast as his scrotie little legs could carry him. My m8 told him if it ever happened again he was going to the cops and then he let the snivelling little ***t go.

About 10 mins later the mother was at his door with the whole clan, about 10 people in all, shouting swearing you name it, why did he ‘dare accuse her wee ‘wean’, how ‘dare he lay a finger on him’ etc etc. Now I know and he knows he shouldn’t have even ‘touched’ a kid but all he did was ‘catch’ him by the sleeve. He was threatened with everything including death. At this point he decided to install a CCTV linked to his PC for round the clock monitoring. It’s a cracking system, 2 cameras date time stamp, IR low lux, motion capture etc.

After only a month he had caught them throwing stones, eggs, scraping his car badly (twice) with keys or similar, flinging faeces at his door, flinging cans, bags of nappies and bottles into his garden, and then to cap it all, sneaking round into his back garden one night, stealing plants and garden ornaments and pouring black paint over his fancy circular patio.

Now the m8's not daft, he knew this would happen and that’s why he waited until he got nearly the whole family on film, clear as a bell, including the mother, father and the original ‘little angel’. He showed me the film and it’s actually quite scary to watch, the fact that people can behave like this today is amazing.

And you know the ‘funny’ thing, when he went to the police after he’d gathered all the evidence he was given such a lecture on ‘why hadn’t he came to the police after the first instance etc’, making it out that he was a busy body, spying on everyone, didn’t he have anything better to do etc. Yeah, and as if the police would have got up off their pie-eating lard ***** to catch a kid stowing stones. So much for the much vaunted ‘Zero tolerance’ approach ars*wipes like Blunkett and the rest spout on about.

Fortunately for him he stood up to this crap, fully pursued the matter and got the lot of the scum hammered both in court and by the housing authority. But this just shows you, what chance have you got without taking the law into your own hands, even if it’s only doing some investigative leg work for the lazy paper shuffling blue serge civil servants, for that’s all they are, lazy civil servants, a disgrace to call them ‘Police’ as that the last thing they ever do

Makes his day though when he sees ‘scum family’ giving the finger to the camera as they just walk by his brand spanking new car glowering at it. If he’s out washing it he sometimes loudly whistles the tune from police camera action and you’ve been framed etc

'You know, the one who used an illegal gun to murder an intruder.'

There you go again Bros2. The use of OTT language to describe that scenario. Wonder why dont you use the same against the 'legitimate' repeat intruders that made his life hell.

I would say your attitude has contributed to this countrys demise. Never apportioning the correct blame. If you do the crime then you must do the time. Black and white and there is no middle ground.

Of course you cloud this very clear debate with your hypothetical clap-trap. Most want law and order to return and your ideas will never work.

The only thing that might deter ppl entering your house is fear of violence. In Dublin the IRA cured the drug-dealing problem and not with the 'human rights' debate for criminals.

Most ppl in this country can sympathise with Martin. 'They got what they deserved'.

CarpetCleaner I don’t think Bros deserves to be called a **** in such a personal manner, not for his views on this thread or for any other reason. Just my thoughts but this usually signals the end of any meaningful dialogue. We would never call strangers in a pub a **** without wanting a punch on the jaw or worse.

There is only one person in the whole forum who I would ever call a **** -

(a) because 'he' is one, albeit a shrivelled and unused one, and
(b) as meaningful dialogue doesn’t work with someone who’s ego is the size of Jupiter without the brain cells to mach.

Bros I feel is neither of these and thus undeserving of the title.

All IMHO

Bros2 you're just a liberal twerp on the side of every persistent offender. This is why our country is in such a mess-there's no deterrent for crime.

Please don't reply with you're 'I LOVE OFFENDERS' nonsense. LOL

Cool

Hmmm...
There are aspects of this thread that smack of intelligence.
Of course, no fault of mine.

Properly composed intellectual dissertations have the capability to further discourse.

Verbal abuse only escallates into further abuse.

So far there have been some great thoughts rendered in this thread.
I don't agree with some of them.
Some of them don't agree with me.
The moderators have given us this forum to express ourselves on current world events.

Is there a possibility that we, as subscribers to this wonderful media, have the ability to maintain our intellectual facilities?

Of course we have that ability, now do we have the will to do so?

I've never seen Poopeye construct such well written posts as the couple above, in fact I'm not sure I've ever seen one run past a paragraph. Wonder why

Bros2 please accept my apologies

What is was trying to get across is that peoples views should not be clouded simply because 'it's happened to someone else'

i.e say you were a woman and got raped or beaten up by an intruder it may well be the offenders first offence but that is of little relevance to the victim

the person should be punished severely regardless of whether or not it's the first offence or not

'What we need is to try to tackle why he acted as he did, and find out what would make him change his ways.

As someone with a criminology degree, I assume you must have gone over this ground loads of times; I'd be interested in your thoughts.'

Do u seriouly think you can 'educate' ppl like Fearon. Sometimes you just have to accept that ppl can never be changed or educated. Even now millions are thrown into eduacation schemes for offenders yet they still re-offend.
Of course i'm not saying incareration is the only answer but for persistent offenders who REFUSE to obey the law then YES. In the longrun less Fearons on the street would mean alot less crime!!!

What would make Fearon change his ways is some form of deterrent albeit harsh punishment or retribution from his victim. A 'jolly' in prison being analysed by shrinks and quacks WON'T!

And Jye considering you are one of the most stupid and detested ppl on Scoobynet I think thats the pot calling the kettle black pal. LOL

Pops- one up again.

And please, feel free to name 'all' the people on here who 'detest' me, please, please feel very free. I'm sure that strong emotions of that nature are confined to you and a few other mentally deranged MUPPETS. LOL

/me sits back with arms folded waiting for 'poopies' huge list of everyone that detests him

p.s. poopie, u deffo need to chill out, your sounding more like a younger and less funny version of pslewis every day, keep up the good work

i dislike you jye

nothing personal but you talk a load of tosh most of the time

As for Bros2 comments. My god. No wonder this country is descending into anarchy. Sending the repeat offenders off to jamaica with a bunch of overpaid lovey dovey shrinks to see what happened in their past.

Where the fek is the deterrent? Only deterrent ppl understand is tough justice either a hefty prison term or a living in fear.

These ppl just laugh at the system. If your way was introduced they would play it cleverley like most child molesters and be let out to re-offend.

You live in Utopia or strive for it. Forget that and get real. Humans are humans and lie, cheat, rape, murder, pillage.

No amount of talking will solve it.

You must PUNISH and that means PUNISH!!!!!!!

Read the words Jye. Sry but you're a fool. LOL

I'll explain pea-brain. You're basically accusing me of being MR ONE SENTENCE. Judging by all you're posts that I read I'd say thats very rich coming from someone who has the intellect of Jimmy Crankee. LOL

Pops- don't bother dissing the master.
