Hi all. Are us newbies allowed to wave here? Have had my Terzo for six months now, but only just got wise to the BBS (thanks Phil).
Can't say I've found Sussex too friendly, though I got a grin from a Catalunya owner in Hawkhurst (Kent) a few months back. Now I'm in Lewes, and even the chap over the road with the W-plate 4 door seems to be too busy going to/ coming home from work. Must be a hard job.
Cheers
Brendan
Terzo 301 (no not me revving behind anyone at the drive-through)

Lancs and W. Yorks journey to work, when I actually see some other traffic! A guy hurtled over the twisty bits on the tops in red a five door Sport behind me. Turned off towards Huddersfield I think. I didn't take the p*** and we had a good bit of a drive. No waving, but it wasn't really necessary, haven't bumped into him since.
Generally see a 4 door silver with a very short reg like 66 AM or something and a red with gold wheels who I'm sure I've met at a NW event (will look out for you at the NW 3 meet), always get a wave/flash.
I find plonkers in shell suits (hat on back to front) and the like look at you like you asked them for a fight. People in Sports ( I had one remember) just don't seem to get it (old farmers?) and the even rarer GLs, hmmm......

Cars I wave to:
Legacy Turbos - they never wave back
Forrester Turbos - most wave back
All Imprezas - some wave, some don't
EVOs - more waves than Impreza drivers if I have flashed them then wave.

It's a Watford Gap thing..... went to Derbyshire the other week, loads of waves south of the gap but hardly any north.
Soemtimes I get hacked off not getting a wave back but an odd look, and then remember I'm in my station car, a B reg Fiesta 1.1 GL... DOH
Brendan, I'm in Crowborough, so if I pass through Lewis to Brighton and see you I'll wave for sure.

I wave to most scoobys in the Manchester/NW area and about 50% wave back, used to flash but nobody seems to do that any more. I suppose its down to this, most scooby owners who are really into the car seem to wave and those who have one because they think its the cool car to have, don't.(ie posers).
Used to get more waves/flashes when they were not as common on the road as they are now. Scooby owner for 2 years.

I have found it is the manner in which you wave. Pointing the middle finger in the air for example is not recommended (unless it is to a Cossie driver.
I live in Leeds and regularly get a wave from other Scooby drivers. Non-turbo types don't seem to bother though - maybe they are ashamed?
