Are you sure YOU DON'T work for them Chris maybe if you have been treated like alot of other people on this thread you may feel different

my mum had exactly the same problem with Phones 4 U when she tried to cancel her contact. She did send the letter and verbally told them but they denied all knowledge. Think she paid the small amount to get them off her back in the end. OK, it was not much for her but think how much money they're making by doing this to other unsuspecting people.
They also messed her about when her nokia went wrong and refused to fix it - this was in the Chester shop. I managed to get her a replacement when hers went in for repair - they refused her so I just got a bit ratty in front of a shop full of customers!
They also claimed that it had gone to Nokia for repair - they lied and it got sent to some bloke round the corner that couldn't fix it - afeter 6 weeks it came back to the shop.. After calling Trading Standards (who were excellent), the phone got sent to Nokia who then returned it in perfect working order within 3 days.
