I've only just moved here- I finished work last week.
I'm perfectly entitled to my opinion as I'm a citizen of the UK.
Anyhow I'm off for a Chateaubriand Rossini at my local brasserie. Enjoy the rest of your evening as much as I will mine.

I've had enough of conversing with these idiots so I'll be steering clear of them from now on, just like I would in the real world. It really amazes me that people like that seem to think that the UK is better off with them in it than a jobless asylum seeker.
At least they don't have hearts filled with hate and minds in the gutter.
Stay cool Jye and I'm not on holiday- I've come here to live, for a couple of yrs at least. Oh and the Chateaubriand was magnificent. The cheap wine we ordered with the meal was rather good too!LOL

Im all for treating people fairly ... and that includes 'assylum seekers' or what ever pc term you choose to use ..
All i ask, is that if i choose to go and live in their country such as Iraq or any other middle east country , would i be entitled to a house, financial assistance, able to drink beer with having my hands cut off ... maybe have a church built (thats a joke by the way) ....

If we were to do what is happening here in some other countries then we would expect to pay the consequences.
Someone in government needs to have the bottle to take a stand and ignore the accusations of being racist etc, etc and sort it out.

I'm on the west coast nr Biarritz and the border with Spain, a fair way from Antibes but if you're ever over this way then it would be great to meet up for a bottle or two of the local plonk.
It's great being in a country where you get stopped for speeding (150kph) about 70kph over the limit and the police let me off "as a small present"-imagine that happening in the UK-NEVER!

Cheers NACRO, sounds lovely, although I doubt I will be able to take you up on your generous offer of a meeting this year, much as I like the sound of 'bottle or two' We were over on holiday just the year before last, in Brittany though, stayed three weeks in a lovely little self catering gite near Carhaix-Plouguer. Lovely country. Perhaps next year
