I always check peoples feedback. I was going to buy an Orange SPV off someone and was trawling through their feedback, about a page in I found out that the person had actually bought it for 160 on ebay in the first place and then re-sold it for 190. Bloody cheek!
Ive setup my own shop now anyway: www.xpressphones.co.uk

james,
given the recent feedback it doesn't look good, but as
'jaf01uk' points out - one of the complaintants only waited TWO days before lodging a 'negative'. Other feedback looks OK - so keep your fingers crossed !!

Doesn't look good, keep investigating.
6 of the cheap items he's bought(all same day) were all collected (he wrote that he collected in his feedback). It says to me he was trying to get quick good feedback and didn't want his address known. I think he found somewhere local to him and bought a few cheap items.
It's quite interesting when you read the feedback left by sellers to him, then find the sellers, then read the feedback 'he' left for buying.
The car feedback to me suggests something large and very trustworthy, I think he might of thought something like this makes him appear trustworthy. One of the car buyers has a zero feedback and could also be made up.

james contact ebay and get the ball rolling to get the insurance money, ebay say to leave it a few weeks but he won't respond to e mails, he doesn't have to wait for a cheque to clear as you paid through paypal, so it looks like a scam from the start,
ebay and paypal are one company now aren't they? yet i've sold things and everyone whose paid me through paypal has an unconfirmed address, so paypal say i'm not covered under their policy if i send goods out to an unconfirmed address, but i can't find out how to get an address confirmed, i have only my home address registered yet it says my address is unconfirmed, is this there way of getting out of things if you make a claim through them,
i done a search tonight for the motorola t720i which is £169 on o2 site, some one has one for sale on ebay, starting bid £200, pi$$ed or what,

I actually e mailed paypal a while ago to query why despite having checked my address by the way you actually get your confirmation code, and their answer was somethin to do with the original set up of paypal only allowed them to confirm American addresses for some reason, if you notice you also come up on your log in page as "International verified" or somethin like that. Now that they are part of e bay we might be able to become verified addressees?

Update..
Got an email yesterday form the guy that ripped me off for the money.
He wrote that he'd refunded some people and told me to go to paypal and ask for a refund through them for non receipt.
I did this, and today paypal sent me a mail saying matter resolved and full amount would be returned to my c card.
This was totally out of the blue and the first time i've heard from the bloke since 23rd June![Confused](images/smilies/confused.gif)
I asked him what happened, but he hasn't answered me.
He asked me if I could find any contact details for some of the others who have bought phones off him as he can't access details through Ebay. I still have the item I paid for in ebay history, and I managed to email some of the others who were ripped off and make sure they were aware.
Very strange though, I'd love to know what it was all about.
The guy put around 20 or so phones for sale ripped the money off from people, I and others presumed it a con and he was long gone, then he appears a few weeks later and out of the blue offers a refund, no explanation![Confused](images/smilies/confused.gif)
Oh well, money back though

sound's like he got caught and someone applied pressure to get him to put it right and if he did not then they'd get the police in, obviously its better for the parties concerned than no negative publicity comes out. ALL IMHO of course
Less in this for all use CCards for big transactions.
