Dazza012 - Younow carry antibodies for Glandular fever. If they gave this to a healthy person they would probably build immunity to it as well. If they give it to someone who is already very ill it might finish them off.

could do with another bout of it, co's boy do you lose weight, i lost 5 1/2 stone when i spent the week in Birmingham's Childrens hospital.

Def give blood - who knows u might need blood. Me im only alive at the moment becasue of the mass of blood transfusions for my lukemia
No blood means i cant finish treatmnet=Im dead....
Somewhere out there people are helping me live and all I can say is a BIG thank you.

Sorry to hear that you have Luekhemia, sadly my father got it about 2 1/2 years back, unfortunately his was a rare one, he was kept alive by the transfusions for 10 months, but the illness got him in the end, whilst he was ill, every time he saw a blood service vehicle, he would joke, 'there goes my blood' I have never given blood, I know I should, and now I written this maybe I will next time they're in the area, after-all, if it weren't for the thousands that do, my dad would have died within hours of getting to the hospital when he was first rushed in, there are obviously a zillion things that they use blood for, but basically this stuff keeps us alive.
So, if you've got some spare, please give it, I will be from now on!!!!
