I personally do not know who this person is and have never read any of their posts but am curious as to why you felt it necessary to ban someone from a bbs and not give a reason.

Have you noticed how many people felt the need to crawl all over him after the last "should he be banned" thread ?

Why not ban people like Popeye etc ? The UK redneck contingent ? Gay bashers ? People constantly shouting "oooh, PC" or "treehuggers" ? Generally pretty stupid people ?

I've seen things posted since his "parol" that were way more insulting to people with 50+ IQ. In fact, I've seen that for quite a while now even before Mycroft posted here for the first time.

In short... it's window dressing. He's the obvious person to ban, the rest of the ***** (you'll need SwearFilter4 for this) can stay.

Mycroft is on a windup tour, obvious that. But he is no worse than say 50 % of the posters here. At least he is amusing sometimes, unlike the STiShreks and UncleBucks of this world. (Just examples, there are even worse people on here) And yes, I still love you honey

The guy was (is?) a sad, arrogant wind up merchant with a Walter Mitty internet life who probably hasn't had a jump in years.

But he was bloody good at being one. And probably not as sad as those who got sucked in by the guy, hook line and sinker. All of whom insisted on feeding him with easy ammo like chucking buns to a bear.

Wait, so someone starts 2 threads inviting him to race and insulting him, he responds and he's banned for it? The only thread he started was a decent discussion until the self-proclaimed anti-Mycroft alliance turned up and started to talk crap.

I'm open minde as to whether he's full of sh*t or blantantly taking the p*ss and watching people squirm (either way he obviously love the attention) but I still feel he's done nothing worthy of a banning.

Either we're a community open to all (except those who are racist/sexist/etc) or we're a dictatorship where the Webmaster/Mods can ban people they personally dislike.

Unless of course other things have gone on between Webamster and Mycroft, then it seems to be a banning based on personality clash.

 

Blimey I'm glad our forum (Mitsubishi Lancer Register) isn't like this place !! We have cool people like DaveG, gaz and andy etc... to moderate our board and they are VERY good.
