OK, comparing like for like, and on the subject of a very highly modified Pulsar Vs a very highly modified Sti, lets wait until TOTB2.....

for your car to make 317bhp with those mods, I'm assuming it's a JDM WRX?
Everyone keeps comparing Pulsars to WRX's....
There is 40-60bhp of a difference when standard, so isn't it unfair to compare.
A UK spec Impreza with 208 - 215 bhp is directly comparable to a Pulsar, and I think a Pulsar would beat the Scooby out of the box.
If you start talking JDM Impreza's then it's a different story due to the power difference before a ball is kicked.

Yes, thats true, it is still a Nissan Sunny, but have you seen a 1.6 Impreza Sedan recently?? (possibly the ugliest car in the world)
We don't buy/brag about these cars in standard form, we buy the performance models. Not too many brands have base spec cars that you'd want to boast about, so it may "just be a nissan sunny" but its a very very fast nissan sunny.
Same could be said about the Scoob, don't you agree?
