I think the point being made is that you are advertising s subaru/car bbs/forum on scoobynet, which itself is a subaru/car bbs/forum. The site you linked is like many other fan sites out there, and is not direct competition for this site.

Aside from that point, your site looks good, vb2 is a great choice, but as I subscribe to way too many bbs as it is, I'm not sure I'd have time to read another, especailly given the chances of cross-pollination of subject/content.
