@ dfullerton - no you're not too late. It sounds like Gruppe-S have too little stock to supply all the people in this G/B at this time. Therefore we're going to do a first batch (the 10 names above) and in a few weeks (or as stock allows) a second batch.

I spoke to John a while ago, and he's been told that the goods have been shipped, but was still waiting for an airway bill as confirmation.

I know several people have ordered from Gruppe-S, and received a good service, so I'm assuming this is just a "glitch".

However, when it comes to "integrity", this is the worst company I have ever delt with.

I'm a little concerned about these references to non-delivery. Can anyone here give us a true picture of Gruppe-S's stock/delivery situation before?

 

Hmmmm, the delivery situation concerns me a bit.

Regarding the second group buy..... would Gruppe-S give a bigger discount for 20 units? Just asking because the second group buy people could confirm with the first batch (i.e give credit card details etc) but Gruppe-S DONT take payment from the card until all the second batch of headers are ready to ship. That way they get a confirmed 20 orders and we all get a bigger discount .

Just an idea?

Yesterday I mailed to ask whether these headers were equal-length or unequal-length. I've just received this response from Max at Gruppe-S. The reference to "your car" is because I mentioned in my mail that my car is a UK MY00 Turbo.

Don't know if this will help or not but I ordered some from Max 3 weeks ago and was told that they would be ready at the end of the following week,on Thursday of that week I received an e-mail containing the tracking number and on the next Monday they arrived at my door so no complaints from me.By the way you only get the manifold to up-pipe gasket not the other three.

Good idea . I've just written back to Max to ask about the stock situation. i.e. along the lines of "after shipping the first batch of ten, when will you have sufficient stock to fulfill/ship a second batch of ten?". If his response is encouraging, I'll ask about a greater discount for >10 units (say, 15 or 20). If he says it would take, say, 2 months source another ten headers then I won't ask. I don't want to wait many months for these!

Max has confirmed he has the stock and offered to send us a picture of his stock if we need conformation.

So far, I've received Big Bear and Abbylad's details (thanks).

Res asured all information will be properly deleted once we have finished with the buy

Christ, this moves fast. I can confirm that I am interested, subject to availability and some more info about re-maps etc.
I also have a mate with a scoob who is interested, so there should be two more for the list. Like I said though, I will need to know some more about how essential it is for a re-map to go with this, as I don't want this to turn into a £700 job!!!

 

My understanding is that your car will need a remap after fitting this manifold. Perhaps before committing, you ought to speak to whoever you would choose to do your mapping and ask their advice?

@ ademid: no, there's nothing else you need to do at this stage. Stock should be available in about three weeks (see Max's email on p7). At that point we will know how many people we have, and what the final price is. The worst-case scenario is that we will have the same price as the first G/B batch. With greater numbers we may get a further (small) reduction in price.

I recon that from this point forth, to save confusion, all correspondance with regards to the first group buy go through Nezz10 (NCooper@stonehouse.oilfield.slb.com).

He has done an outstanding job getting the group buy price.
I've also just read his latest e-mail, and he is offering to front the entire costs of this group buy and take on the logistics when they arrive in the UK.

This is a far better idea and I think will suit everyone

I'll delete the spreadsheets I've received and any I receive in the future.

Just reply to Neils e-mail "Headers group buy - IMPORTANT!!" and were on!
