I finally got my car today and it was worth the wait

Hi DreXeL
No mate not at all bothered, becuase I personally think it was too hot in there... and heres why
I didn't get to take my car until after 7pm and on the way home the temp dropped outside a little. I was driving back with my friend, Jason Love who also has a DC5, I came with him to Powerstation, you may of saw his white DC5 outside..
We was on the A419 with a nice clear run ahead so we got side by side in 6th gear at around 4,000 rpms... we both dropped to 5th and by the time my VTEC kicked in I was about half of my car a head of him, and then once the TEC kicked in I was gone... in fact I was in the inside lane and I was able to pull in front of him and put a nice gap between us...
So either his car is also really down on power (which I know it isnt as his was rolled when he bought his car (3 months ago) and he was getting 209bhp or because it was so hot in there I was losing loads of power .. which it was very hot in there on that Thursday..
So no mate I am not bothered at all ... All I know is so far I have burnt a CTR, with me being 2 up .. me and the misses in the car... and whilst in Holland this weekend I have had battles with many fast cars and have had no problems keeping up...
But thanks for your thoughts and yes it's a great car..![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Ps I told Iain and Kurtus about it and both want to roll it again as there was a Racing beemer that was rolled that day in the evening whilst I was waiting for my car to be finished and that too was down on power...
Just editied to ask whether you was there and saw them roll the car the 1st time with the other airbox on....??? the reason I ask is you are saying that I lost 20bhp which means the car was 209 bhp, well 209 is what Kurtus reckon is the DC5 standard bhp.. so if you wasn't there to see the 1st roll, that might be because they didnt really do a 1st roll and are just going by there standard figures... But if you where there and saw both runs then it is strange why it showed a big decrease... .. Oh well I will road it again and see mate..
I am going back to PS tomorrow (monday) so I will ask them to roll it before it gets to hot in there..
Mark

Mkhan: I was only there for one run, I don't know if they did one before. They said 'Tegs always dyno at 209bhp, that's why they said it had lost 20bhp. It was bloody hot as you say, that was probably a big factor. To be fair Powerstation's rollers are notorious for reading low compared to other rollers anyway.
Whatever the reason, it's a lovely car, enjoy it mate![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)

Ajax, yes I surely will be going to the JAE.. I will be there on the Sunday..
DRB5, I don't really go to a lot meets anymore mate but if you are fairly local then I will meet you and take you out for a spin.. but once we hit that VTEC zone mate... be prepared to sell the scooby.![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
The only thing I will say mate is that it's not as moddable as the scooby.. I mean if you want to get extra power from it you have spend real big money ... But the car out of the box is bloody great, ok I have done some changes to mine but I wanted to be different, but mine is probably only a few bhp more than the standard one, but to me she flys... and everyone I have taken out in it has been surprised on how quick it is ..
Damn and I am stuck in the office today ..

aha, but jza, do you not agree, that a white type-r is by far the most gorgeous colour it can possibly come in?!
it probably comes a few different colours though. silver, red, white, black and gunmetal i think.

That's stunning, I love the look of it from the back and side but I think more could possibly be done with the front end to make it a little more agressive or sleek.
Can you get anyone in the back seats?

I saw this car in person last night, and the pictures just don't do it justice. The car is superb, and when Mark gives her some stick down the roads, boy is that some noise! ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Mate as I've said before (and will say again no doubt![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)

That is without doubt the nicest looking car (inside and out) that i have ever seen![Cool](images/smilies/cool.gif)
I can say that i think EVERYTHING is perfect, well balanced and weighted. You must have a grin from ear to ear whenever you see it or sit in it.
Oh yeah, if ever look to sell it let me know
