SUBTYPER, Told Derek at ETS that I wanted a functional scoop so it came with extra stoods which bolt through the holes left in the bonnet by the clips. Very secure, (I think it might be six or eight stoods in total.) You could always carryout my backup plan if you already have a scoop or want to use your existing vent and grind out the middle of the bottom blanking plate. This way you could refit the plate as it was before and still allow air flow.
Just remember to take it easy or you could warp the plate with the heat!
