The Type R is quickest off the mark as far as I know, as I've got a Performance Car magazine test with a Type R doing 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. This is because it has shorter gearing than the P1, STI and 22B and you can lock the diffs for the perfect getaway. I'm not sure about the RA 0-60 (or gearing) as I've never seen it properly tested.

Out of the scoobies mentioned you must be talking tiny tenths of a second difference 0 - 60. In the real world they're all about as fast to 60 as the drivers ability (and hardware installed) to change gear. I mean a tenth of a second is nothing, so I doubt it really makes that much of a difference.

To give a good analogy, its a bit like one dude looking down at another dudes *** whilst they stand side by side at the urinals and saying "I do believe my *** is 0.75 mm longer than yours.......:O)"

The RA are the quickest as RA stands for race altered. They were primarily built for group N rallying homologation. Some of the RA have no air con, no electrics (windows, mirrors, central locking), little sound proofing, no stereo, no speakers. Bascially a stripped out race car. Mine is one of the last of the classic RAs and onb the SVA docs the weight is listed as 1240kgs. Which is a bit heavy for an RA but it s alimited version so it has all the electrics, climate control and a few creature comforts. A UK scoob of the same vintage was 1235kgs but obviously didnt have the 280PS engine and climate control and motors to move the wing mirror in .

The P1 is 1283kgs IIRC and has longer gearing. Mine will just hit 100mph in 4th @ 7,500rpm. The car is built for aceleration not top end. Obviously it will still approach 150mph but you will be well over 7,000rpm in 5th. P1 0-60 was officially 4.66 seconds.
