Paul, What does you car boost too as I may already have a copy of a PROVA map from a saloon that I would like to compare, if yours is specific to a Wagon/Auto.

Can you Wagon WRX and Wagon WRX (Auto) guys post your ECU codes here (the big number on the lid).
There seems to be an ever increasing amount of variants.
The ones I am aware of are :

V5 - This version seems to be pretty reliable, and a map exists
V9 - Possibley as above
3B - A bit tempermental, and goes into limp home mode. Map in final stages of development.

You may want to challenge these comments if you have any of the above ECU. I am only going on what I know at this time.

With regard to re-mapping a wagon. It's now sorted.
Auto maps should also be O.K but have yet to try the latest in an Auto.

See http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=244053 for confirmation.

This map is in a '3B' running V9 base code with modified performance maps (currently 15.5psi, 15.96/1.1BAR to be tested soon).
I have reason to believe that the 3B is an early ECU. Therefore I also have reason to believe that the remaining Wagon ECU will also accept this code i.e V5, V9 etc.., as the early ones tend to be more problematic.

cheers Ze1220.... it's been worth it.

I think PROVA initially sld chips. They then started to sell complete ECU.

I expect it's just a JECS ECU with the PROVA chip fitted, then rebadged.

What does it boost too.

I dont have a boost guage fitted yet, im in on the group buy at the mo for one.
But it does have a tendancy to try ejecting me through the windscreen when on WOT in the higher gears (only booted it twice with the same effect) so im guessing its got issues with either uk fuel or my driving.

Sounds like the PROVA map is hitting the boost/fuel-cut limit.
