For latecomers, can you extend this price for a certain no. days?
Wow, nice fitting price, shame it would cost me that in petrol round trip too up and down boring motorways!
Well organised Rally!!

Thank you to every one who has ordered to make this group buy work.
I enjoyed it, this was my first go.
That is a good fitting price, I will be doing the job myself and no doubt throwing a few spanners around if the heatshield bolts shear. Better start soaking them tonight in a gallon of WD40, lol.
A big thank you to Ian for sorting us out with a good deal.

I'm going to collect mine on Saturday morning as it's not that far. Then I've just got to wait until my warranty runs out in April before I fit it!
Thanks to Rally and H&S for organising everything!
Cheers

Hmmm
I have the cooltek wrap for the downpipe, do I need to put on the heat shields after wrapping it?
That makes it easier to cut Ehh hum! remove the downpipe heatshields if not being used again...
Bttt too!

I am very interested...
What is the all in price of DP and fitting (uk99)? (is that a fixed cost? what if the bolts shear?)
Can I get this fitted this Monday (15th), as I can pop by...
Cheers!

If you email me at groupbuy@ilkleymotorclub.org.uk I will send u prices (if you haven't done so already).
Fitting is possible by H&S.
Please give them a ring on 01268 727256 to place an order and book car in for fitting (Ian quoted £70 + VAT).
Regards,
Richard

Apparently the Lamba sensor thread is same as a Lawn Mower spark plug (do we draw any comparisons....).
When BuRR did his he rang H&S, they know the thread size but in his old age he cant remember :0
Mine is a 95 WRX so I need to find 1 as well.

18 mm 1.5 thread have used an old lamba to block hole .
Fitted exhaust this morning but it is vibrating against the body , there is a bracket welded onto the exhaust but can't see where on my 93 wrx it is meant to go , will have to make a bracket to bolt to the welded bracket to pull exhaust off body anyone else finding the same problem . Also got downpipe to centre gasket from subaru £25 then for interest went to local exhaust centre with gasket and asked if the had one the same guess what they did £1.25 why do subaru charge so much? Will take it back for refund.

There are 2 mountings under the car, 1 to g'box (??) 1 to chassis bracket. I guess it fits one or other? I WD40'd them the othre day in preparation!!
What is the downpipe catching on? Engine / transmision tunnel, or onto engine??
When lagged, do the heat shields need to go bck on - I didn't plan to ...

It is rubbing just after the bottom bend against car chassis by transmission tunnel my old exhaust had a gear box mount to stop any movement where as the new one seems to have a chassis mount , which must be for a uk car, on mine wrx 93 the mount supplied on the downpipe does not line up with anything on the car , so have made a bracket to attatch the downpipe up to the car to stop it vibrating against chassis .Have also noticed up pipe is blowing so will have to take it all off again at some point to change up pipe, am not looking forward to that. Any recommendations on cheap up pipe. After lagging i cut the top heat shield back and re-fitted

No need to change up pipe to cure blowing, just replace the up-pipe to turbo gasket and alter the up pipe mounts, which may be too rigid when you change other bits around there...
But a good time to replace the up-pipe with a better flowing one, possibly one with a flexible section ...?

I'm considering getting this, I have 2 questions:
1. Should I go for the spiltter mod? I've tried the search, but no definitive answer as to whether its worth it
2. Will there be any hidden costs, like gaskets etc? (at the mo, i'm expecting to pay for the DP + Fitting + VAT)
Thanks for any prompt replies...

Ian,
I would have to buy a gasket wouldn't I?
How much will that cost? (I've heard anything between 10-25 pounds + VAT!) - Please email me if you do not want to mention the price on the board.
Thanks for your response.

I have checked on a friends wrx and you are right i have a bracket missing must have been removed previously. The bracket i made is similar and the exhaust is fine .I must say the spool up is quicker and the car feels a lot more responsive and would recommend anyone else interested to order one before the dead line of wednesday.
Do you also supply up pipes as mine is blowing and needs replacing if so are they the same as fitted or are they uprated eg better flow and how much.
thanks
Mark

The Gaskets are a main dealer part, and we do a double slip joint up pipe which allows for expansion etc at £115 plus del/fitting and the vat.As for fitting we recommend XTREME SCOOBIES on 01245 363623.
