Funny how some people quote the bible when defending their small minded views. The same section of the bible that says a man should not lie with another man ALSO says you shouldn't eat meat that has any blood in it (so no rare or medium steaks or roasts then!) and also only fish with scales and fins may be eaten, only meat where the animal has split hoofs, you mustn't work on a sunday (and therefore can't support those that do so NO sunday beers/roasts at the local pub then!) and the list goes on. You don't wanna know what the punishments the bible recommends either!!!! and most the other religions are just as bad. Organised religions, they're all fooked up and in many cases responsible for the homophobia/sexism(why can a woman be a bishop?)/racism/wars etc...
rant over!
live and let live is what I say. Got nothing to do with anyone if some guy or girl is ******** some other guy/girl.

I put Religion and it's participants right up there with the Fudge Packing community on my list of people to be used for vivisection instead of the chimps.....
Infact add to that Car thieves and illegal imigrants and I reckon the country would be a happier place.... Oh and John Prescott
So.... If that makes me small minded then pass me some ear plugs buddy cos if I tilt my head then my little mind is bound to drop out without them....

Wow, Listy, you're carrying some major-league prejudices round with you there, aren't you?
Why such angst against homosexual people, if you're not religious?

What really hacks me off is that if you don't agree with something you are immediately branded as homophobic/racist or a biggot.
D
ps - If I was a woman, I'd be gay, no doubt about it

Ach, according to religion, we're all going to hell as we all don't believe in every one of the religions in which we have to believe in order to avoid going to hell.
See y'all there*!
*If you believe in Hell, of course and are not belonging to one of those religions that doesn't think that Hell exists or are an atheist.

I wouldn't say I was heavily Predujice at all..... I just think of myself as a realist....
Religion is the route cause of 99% of all the wars and disturbances in the world..... So why bother with it... It's crap... No matter how you dress it up it's still built on Myth.
I mean take jesus for example.... His mum didn't want to own up to having a bit on the side so she swore blind it ws a virgin birth.... Cos that happens all the time eh.... NOT... And his Dad was a bloody Joiner (No disrespect to Chippy's there I might add).... Great CV for our Saviour
It's all daft... which ever way you look at it...
As for the Bloke on Bloke thing... I just believe it ain't right... And i'm not going to hide behind comments like "Oooo they're ok cos it's the 2000's" etc etc etc... I find it repulsive end of story...
Illegal immigrants cost the tax payer Millions.... AKA US. you and me....
So **** em.... let some other prat pay for them.... There is way to many problems close to home that effect us directly Health, transport, Economy, Crime etc etc etc to even contemplate supporting these people...
I welcome anyone to the UK with open arms that brings the country a service... Come in and Pay your way I say....
As for third world countries.... "IF YA CAN'T FEED EM. DON'T BREED EM"
Bigot - Yes
Racist - No
Look after Number 1 - Most definately...
I sleep very well at night when I know me and my own are safe and warm. What happens to the rest of em... Tell me another day I'm Busy....

The mature and informed response is that sexuality, gender, race, religion and the rest do not matter as long as nobody is hurting anyone else. Live and let live.

It's better to have an idea than a belief, you can change an idea, you can't change a belief How true is that!
People kill and are killed for religion. The fundamentalists that commit suicide bombings, thinking they will gain entry into heaven. I just can't get it? I don't see how killing innocent people will get you into heaven.
It scares me that there are people out there who believe "their" religion is the one true religion and all other believers are heritics and deserve to die.
Enough of the religion stuff. Too heavy. My mum told me never to interfere in another persons religion or politics. Very wise words indeed.

Kitty I stand corrected..... Thankyou
Mind you in my defence I think you all get my drift here.... No matter how it's spelt.
You see I might be all those things I can't spell but I'm still polite and quite a nice bloke really... lol

I'm starting to agree that as a woman I'd probably be better off being gay.
Any offers from the other SN women?

Was enjoying this thread until I read Skoosh's bit about his lesbian acquaintances comment about homophobia being down to the arrogance of heterosexual males thinking all gay guys fancying them.
That is the kind of trendy comment that really winds me up.
For her information it is because man #1 knows what kind of thoughts are going through man #2s head when man #2 is in the company of someone who has the right orifice in the right place.
It doesn't matter how unattractive man #2 finds the third person, he WILL repeat WILL eventually go through a FULL, repeat FULL, analysis of this persons body. The more attractive the third person the sooner the analysis will start. The more intimate the situation (eg changing room/beach) the sooner the analysis will start.
Hetero men know this because they do it to women (attractive or not, hetero or not) all the time and tend to make the recipients of their attention fairly uncomfortable. They also know that it is probable that a gay man thinks in a similar way to a hetero man re potential sexual partners - I say probable since who knows how another person thinks? Especially about something like s-e-x. As such we are placed in a situation similar to a woman being ogled by hetero guys.
Funnily enough a hetero man can feel a bit uncomfortable about this too! His reaction depends on how secure he is in his own sexuality and how intimate the situation and so you can get a range of reactions from a single person.
I consider myself to be fairly secure and I really don't give a monkeys what other people do with their god-given orifice's. However I admit to feeling a little uncomfortable in my (ex) gym's communal shower in the company of two strapping gay guys.
Skoosh should ask the girl who made this quote whether she would feel ok sharing a communal changing room with men? If not isn't she guilty of the kind of arrogance I thought was confined to hetero guys.
Ooooh boy, better out than in!
