If u want to be real nasty - get "Pathclear" it kills feckin everything in its way and also doesnt allow anything to germinate for about 5 yrs - so astroturf it will be!! It is used when plant type things sprout thru paths and driveways and says in one application it will kill off all plant life.

i put it on some inconsiderate b@stards hedge once - worked a treat.

If you know a local farmer get some of his heavy duty industrial strength cattle grazing/hay producing/high nitro granules.

In my youth I worked for Fisons in the Agro(sic)chemical bit.My girl friend's dad asked if I could get something to sort out his patchy lawn.

Wanting to impress, like you do,I brought home some of the above mentioned.Guaranteed instant super lush, verdant green meadow.

I did tell him only put it on thinly & evenly.

I did tell him make sure to water it in well.

Within a week you could see the exact spots where each (well it didn't look much so I put a bit more on)handfull went.

Talk about scorched earth.

Needless to say I didn't marry the girl.

The only trouble was the sheep ate everything where the salt was and some people might think that it is a bit wierd living in Wales but my Freezer is well stocked now though. yum yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! possesion is 2 thirds of the law though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't possibly condone any behaviour like this.

If anyone's interested, we've just tidied up the stone driveway, the lawn had started to grow onto it. Pathclear got rid of the grass & weeds pretty quickly. Just dilute it & spray it on.

Weed killer is a bit basic....
If it can wait until spring then go and buy a load of daffodil bulbs. Then plant them in his back garden lawn such that they spell out your favourite derogatory word (the one that begins with C is a good starting place - short and direct). Won't be visible until next spring when one morning they will suddenly spring forth.....

Seen it done a few times and it works a treat

Having read the original thread's first post, I reckon YOU are in the wrong in all this I m afraid. He legitimately complained when you arrogantly tore up his lawn with your impreza. Furthermore you have a snide, smug attitude. Complain to his face if you've got a problem.

Bling your an ***

we are talking about a 1-2" strip of grass

we also have the same on our grass from other neighbours
its pretty much impossible to avoid due to the way the drive is layed out, but ours ois much worse. Its a useless patch of grass ffs.

what is however totally avoidable is the breach of contract that he regularly allows to happen which is allowing people to park on the shared drive.

you about as much of an **** as he is IMHO

now go **** off or cant you read that I dont want **** wipes like you posting on my thread

Petrol works great. (lit or unlit )

Spilt a load on our lawn....and even after re-seeding it still won't grow back.

even better trick...if he prides lawns that are totally weed-less, get some cheap wild bird seed and sow it all over his lawn... he'll get all sorts growing on there. Plus there is a time lag between you sowing and it all germinating, so he won't sus anything out for a while

I only found that out 'cos 'er indoors keeps spilling the damn stuff when she fill up the bird feeder. I think it drives the birds loopy, just had a black-bird fly full pelt into the window and knock itself out

I think that to deliberately vandalise his property would be the worse thing you could do. It would be pretty obvious who had done it and you would have real trouble for the future. It must be annoying to him too when you damage his grass after all. It really just takes a bit of maturity on both sides to sort it out, better you make a real attempt at that instead.

OK so you say it has gone too far, how do you think this will make things?

I would be very suprised if this makes them better. What is it you want, and what will killing his grass achieve.
Will it make you feel better?
It may well make you guilty of criminal damage at a guess so you are willing to risk a criminal record for ******* up a neighbours grass.

If you have a problem sort it face to face, not saying get physical but talk to him and voice your problems and try to sort it out. If this fails then keep a record of the problems, CCTV may help and get it sorted by a solicitor or such.

If all else fails then you might feel the need to take more vigorous action and get a record for a 'proper' crime rather than damaging a lawn, i for onewould be too embarrassed to attend court for 'Grass Genocide' and can you imagine what the papers will make of it. I would not condone or reccommend you end up brawling with the chap but self defence has it's place. Sort it out without damaging property or the other person!
*Disclaimer* I am not condoning/inciting anyone into a brawl over a neighbours dipute - this is not the way to do it.

I can see the headlines - Mr Angry massacres lawn over squabble with neighbour - Angry said "I had to do something so the lawn got it's come uppance, next time i may take an axe to his shed bludgeon his Begonias or if things get really bad then block his hose!"

Really - it ain't worth it, is it?

Sort it out in a civilised manner FFS!

Ive tried to talk to him a few times it doesnt work (thought I had got this across in other posts)

Its got to the point that he will deliberately stand and watch my wife reversing out to try to catch her catching his grass

I will gain great satisfaction from seeing his blood pressure go about about 50 notches. He really annoys us hes constantly shouting, he plays loud music so that he can listen to it in his garden.
Hes a dick.

I have decided upon an action anyway, wont hurt anyone or anything.
Im gonna put a serious sound system in my shed and when he plays loud music I will go a bit louder.
Knew them 6 spare subs from my old install would come in handy

The grass will live.

Im going to get some A4 sticky sheets with please do not park here and stick them to the windscreens of his visitors who park on the drive, its not damage is it.. but it should **** them off a bit, so maybe they stop.

feeling better already
its been so peaceful today I really realise what a noisy ***** he really is

No need to kill grass. Just find a field off oil seed rape(thats the fields that were bright yellow, get some seeds out of the pods and just throw them on lawn. You can never get rid off them. Did it to old neighbour of mine.

Wonderfull crop was add

Find out when his summer holiday is booked for, go to your local Builders yard (don't park in the car park) order 2 tonne of sand to be delivered on his front driveway making out that you live there,(pay cash) and watch his face when he returns from hoilday

That should keep him busy for a few hrs.

The only really effective solution is to move!

Falling out with your neighbours will have an effect on the value of your house, has these days it is a questioned asked on the searches. You could lie in response but when the new owner has problems with the neighbours and finds that you had problems too the court cases start!

Much easier to decide to either live with the problem and think every time how small minded and pathetic the neighbour is or move. Its much better for your stress levels too!

The only other option is to take legal action but thats expensive and not guaranteed to work!

Retribution just means the situation escalates and unless you are careful you'll be the one in trouble.
