My mate got done with 20 plants in his student bedroom. He got a caution but wasn't allowed to keep the plants 
Shame as he'd got quite attached to them in a gardeners type of way.
What was funny was the annual ritual of moving them to the next student accomodation at the end of each year, my mini was a mobile greenhouse crammed full of weed
obviously more crammed each year

The law is an *** and although we are all joking (and I don't see this as in anyway a crime personally. The penalties are these
Cultivation of cannabis - quote :"Cultivation and production of cannabis are covered by Section S6.(2) of the MDA. Unless revised otherwise, the production of cannabis would remain an arrestable criminal offence, carrying a maximum penalty 14 years"
So there you go it's possible to get 14 yrs in prison for growing some plants!

just heard on the news that some pro-drugs spokesman for some political party (green party?) has been sentenced to 6 weeks in prison for growing 19 of the bad boys...
