scoob ppp is better looking and faster in the straight line especially in third. bends evo wins hands down but the scoob is more fun, back comes out the nail it and it's already to slot in that magic third again

 

Sti8 Spec C Limited is not that stripped out, it has air con, electic mirrors, electric windows. Also it is quicker than an Evo VIII around Rockingham, cheaper to buy, looks better, has really kewl dials and is much rarer. No contest really.

Hi Guys, I need some of advice similar to original post. I am looking to choose between the STI8 non PPP and the Evo 8 RS non FQ. It will be a semi-opt out company car. Therefore running costs/insurance/fuel not an issue. I will run the car for 3 years doing about 70000 miles on complete mixture of roads. Have tested STI and will be testing EVO 8 in 2 weeks. Driving girlfriend mad as I can't make my mind up any help please!

Had almost the same prob, was deciding between a STI8 and Evo 8, but in the end I went for the STI8 as I know I will be doing quite a few more miles when I am going back and forth from uni, and the Subaru is far easier to live with. The interior, on the Scooby is far better than the evo's, and when your on long journeys it is far more comfortable. I also prefered the look of the Scoob, but that is up to personal preference. My advice lots of miles, need comfort, and the scoob is by far the best ride on long A - Bs.
