Yeah i can understand that. I'm not sure why the EXIF fields arent populated on my pics. Probably because they are put from PC to Mac, i use a different package to save/edit photos.

I'll ask him next time i see him

Hi all got my best m8 here with the camera and we are looking at the settings avaialble.

Picture settings:

Res 1280 X 960 (1 from lowest setting) Highest available is **2832 X 2128**
Appeture setting F2.8 (no where near F8)
Shutter speed @ 1/4 second purposely under exposed, spot metering was also used.

EXIF information was not transfered because i exported the images into smaller versions using save to web in Photoshop. Full sized image has EXIF info populated.

Hope the questions have been answerd

I'm confused then as to why the stuff in the background is in focus -- surely there's too much depth of field for it to be f2.8?

The EXIF info on the file at the top shows F2.8. Haven't checked the rest as i couldn't be arsed. As i said. The camera is a cracking piece of kit.

If you dont believe the F2.8 figure check it out for yourself. Download the Fullres.jpg from my links posted above and look at the EXIF info

I'm not saying I don't believe it, just that if it's true I can't see how it's done.

I'm trying to learn about photography....
