Money no object, what car would you buy?

I'm allowing myself 2 cars, a Kia Pride for day-to-day and 1 other.
This other car would have to make me want to drive it every time I opened the garage so for me I think the Muira just shades the GT40 - have never seen a Muira up close and have seen & heard a GT40 (Fan-bloody-tastic sound from it's V8) but a lime green temperamental Itailan V12-engined car just shades it.
I think if you stick to just 1 car then choosing a BMW or Mercedes is ridiculously sensible !

Well if it is any concellation, my friend is and has for a long time been in the fortunate position to be able to have any car he wants. The moral of this story is that he has an sti 4 in his collection, rates it v highly and swears never to get rid of it!
Oh, did I mention that it has blown up twice so its a kind of love hate relationship! :-0

No I actually meant what I said. Living down here, the Scoob is ideal for our country roads and small villages etc. It is nimble and not a large car so is perfect for enjoying my driving. Yes of course you are right, there are better cars in all sorts of ways. My sister drives a Ferrari 355, but she is a jammy git! I was very impressed by it but was still just as happy to get back into my Scoob. I also like the fact it is a limited edition and will eventually be a real classic in the same way as the original Lotus Cortina Mk 1.

New Legacy GT spec B wagon fully loaded, replace engine w/US 2.5 STi jobbie (may as well use the tranny too - want that tall 6th the export markets get
), incl DCCD-A (JDM black box please). Get the rear end to fit/work, use the Brembo brakes from the gutted STi...maybe stretch for one of those barmy ceramic brake sets from Porsche - money is no object after all![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Mustn't forget to get a decent ball bearing turbo (400~450hp should be enough
) and various pipes on it (a quiet exhaust please
), tune, bake for 80mins at medium heat and shzam - awesome, pretty light, low profile, street friendly monster![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
